Toni, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Starting with makeup it all began with YouTube or as I call it “YouTube University “ back then I knew nothing about makeup , I just loved seeing the process and transformation. I eventually started watching videos everyday and practicing on myself , each time getting better and better it came so easily. The most essential skill with makeup is practice. Even today I still pride myself on practicing, learning new techniques, trying new products. The makeup industry is such a fast pace industry you honestly cannot be stuck in your ways, to evolve you must keep learning and practicing. The biggest obstacle that stood in my way was ME, I use to be in my head so much I wanted everything to be so perfect but the truth is nothing is perfect keep working , keep using yourself and speaking life into your business and your craft.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I love making women feel pretty , I often think about my purpose especially when things get hard and I think about the faces of my beautiful clients after receiving a service form me to glow , the confidence, the love and joy it’s so refreshing. In 2022 I decided to quit my job and become a makeup artist full time , it was not easy but I knew this was what I wanted for myself , I knew this was my calling what started off in my living room with a cute setup eventually lead to a suite. That fire in me kept wanting more so I decided to get my certification in lashing and embarked on that journey fell in love with that as well. I wanted how could I possibly juggle to two but it works out so perfect! I now service eyelash extensions, makeup service’s and eyebrow tint. To my old clients I love you all and I am so grateful for your support, to my new clients I cannot wait to establish and amazing relationship and service you all , those smiles and compliments I cannot wait!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I always send follow up emails to my clients for honest feedback about their service , I also provide loyalty cards to my clients they receive special perks for such as free refills , Starbucks coupons, etc.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think getting my name out their more will help build my reputation, as far as promotion social media and in person passing out business cards at events or even leaving them at local businesses. Word of mouth goes a long way and I plan to push myself to the best of my ability within the next 3 months.
