We recently connected with Toni Porter and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Toni thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our goal is to help other business owners showcase their business and present themselves professionally to their customers. When I first started the entrepreneur journey I could have used more guidance and advice. There weren’t many resources available in 2012 that were local, where I could develop a real business relationship with. So Jax|Co. has filled that void for many small business owners.

Toni, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Jax|Co by Jaxon Porter started as an anti-bullying apparel line for my son Jaxon Chandler in 2017. More recently the company was revamped and rebranded to also include business consulting and company branding. Jax|Co by Jaxon Porter has a brand partnership & collaboration with Toni’s Collection.
What sets us apart from others is the in depth relationships we build with each client. We love guiding our clients on their business journey by advising and providing the tools needed to be successful. We are proud to be knowledgeable in our field and able to help others.
Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
My side hustle, was saving money by branding myself for Toni’s Collection. Toni’s Collection specializes in home fragrance products and I was trying to figure out a way to save money on marketing/branding. Which included designing my website, business cards/flyers, and creating product labels. When you’re first starting out on the business journey, you will make lots of mistakes and changes to designs. So I needed to figure out how to do these things for myself, because I wasted a lot of materials by constantly making design/text changes because the fragrances changed.
When I started making my own labels, cards, t-shirts, bags, and banners; it got the attention of other business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Those that inquired often turned into customers. Initially Jax|Co. was supposed to just be an apparel line geared towards anti-bullying for my son. Nonetheless, I had created a company that could not only do custom apparel but I learned how to design/brand through my own trial & error. So instead of that falling under Toni’s Collection, I pivoted the branding over to Jax|Co to give some separation to the 2 businesses.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
My cofounder/business partner is my 5 year old son. I wanted to create something for him that would be not only be for apart of his legacy but, impactful to children and adults of all nationalities.
