Tonea, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?

I want to be remembered as someone who helped others heal, build self-confidence, and grow closer to their true selves. My faith has been central to my journey, and it has given me the strength and purpose to positively impact others. However, my message goes beyond religion, it’s about empowering people to find their inner strength and break free from limitations, whether imposed by society or themselves.

I came from a place where I struggled with self-worth and direction, but through personal growth, I developed the confidence and self-love that transformed my life. I know what it’s like to feel trapped in darkness, and I want to be a guide for others who are going through the same. I believe in leading by example, showing people that with determination, faith, and self-belief, anything is possible.

What matters to me is not fame, but making a meaningful, lasting impact. My goal as an influencer is to inspire my audience to embrace their true selves, overcome their fears, and pursue their dreams with courage. The world often tries to put us in boxes, but I want to help people break free from those constraints and live authentically, with purpose and confidence.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

For those who may not know me, I’m Tonea Cromer, a fashion, beauty, and lifestyle influencer. My journey into this industry began after I made the bold decision to leave a job that didn’t align with my passion. It was a leap of faith, I wasn’t sure how I’d manage financially, but I trusted in my vision. I started creating content, including hair tutorials, vlogs, and product reviews using items I had at home.

With persistence and a commitment to honing my craft, I gradually improved my content by studying trends and perfecting my technical skills, like filming angles and video quality. After consistently posting, I began receiving PR offers from brands. This wasn’t an overnight success but the result of dedication, research, and a willingness to grow.

What sets me apart is my ability to combine professionalism with authenticity. My content is high-quality and polished, but I always let my true personality shine through. I believe it’s that balance, being both relatable and professional, that resonates with my audience.

The achievement I’m most proud of is the growth of my social media presence. I went from worrying about how to cover my share of the rent to being able to support myself entirely through content creation. It’s been an incredible journey, and I want my audience to know that this path is possible for anyone who’s willing to put in the work.

Becoming an influencer isn’t just something you watch others do, you can do it too. It takes self-awareness, consistency, and hard work. This isn’t a career for the passive, but with the right determination and a clear vision, you can accomplish far more than you might imagine.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

Throughout my creative journey, it took a lot of research and trial and error. I remember contemplating buying eBooks, but I hesitated, worried they wouldn’t offer the exclusive or valuable information I was looking for. If there had been one comprehensive resource that could have given me all the insights I know now, it would have saved me months of research and experimentation.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

In my creative journey, my mission is to inspire others and be a positive influence. Alongside that, I’m working toward financial freedom so I can support my family and reinvest in my passion. Ultimately, my goal is to become a full-time travel influencer, getting paid to explore the world. Once I reach that point, I’ll feel like I’ve truly accomplished what I set out to do.
