Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tomas D’Amico. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tomas, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I believe in the power of dreams. This is not to say that they are life-changing guiding principles on which to form thought, but rather that dreams are a creative way for your brain to deal with the stresses of everyday life. So with that power, came the inspiration for my novel. There was one night that I had a very vivid dream that spoke to me, from which the inspiration for my novel surmised from. While it may not match the original dream now, the idea was a seed planted which grew into a veritable forest of imagination.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am an author of the novel Letters From the End of Infinity. Of which I have written a full-feature screenplay for, and filmed a couple short-films on my own volition of other creative projects. While I have participated in the film industry both behind and in front of the camera, it is my passion to create writings which inspire worlds of imagination among the audience.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
The pandemic has definitely provided struggle of which I was not prepared. However, I viewed it as opportunity to think of things a different way. It gave me plenty of time to consider my options and plan accordingly for how to execute my vision. Sometimes a step back is necessary before moving forward.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I was first writing, I found an audience engaged through my footwork; but a struggle to find a larger audience. This inspired me to go into filmmaking, which is an easier venue to reach an audience faster and broader.
