We recently connected with Tom Winter and have shared our conversation below.
Tom, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My journey to creating SEOwind was driven by a mix of passion, frustration, and a clear vision of what could be. Over 15 years, our founding team experimented with numerous SEO frameworks and tools, adopting a hands-on, “Human as a Service” approach. We achieved remarkable results for our clients worldwide but were constantly confronted with the inefficiency of the process. It was painstakingly slow and cumbersome, demanding hours of manual work for something as fundamental as crafting SEO content briefs or writing.
The inception of SEOwind marked the end of this tedious process. The core idea was simple yet revolutionary: to automate and streamline the creation of SEO content briefs, enabling them to be completed in minutes instead of hours. This breakthrough promised a dramatic boost in productivity and the potential to significantly elevate a website’s Google ranking and organic traffic.
But what excited us was the integration of AI technology into SEOwind. When we were developing our product, AI writing tools were on the rise. Yet, we noticed they were all missing something crucial – context. Unlike other tools that treated AI as a mere extension of a search engine, we decided to feed our AI with a wealth of context from our in-depth research. This wasn’t about using AI for the sake of it. It was about using it with precision, ensuring our content wasn’t just generated but informed and insightful.
SEOwind stands out because it is a solution born out of real-world frustration, backed by years of expertise, and enhanced by AI technology. It’s not just a writing tool. It’s a smarter, faster way to achieve SEO success. And that’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

Tom, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Any advice for managing a team?
When managing a team and maintaining high morale, I firmly believe in treating team members as individuals with lives outside of work. A simple yet effective approach I advocate for is starting each week with a personal touch, asking, “What did you do over the weekend?” This breaks the ice and shows genuine interest in their well-being and interests outside of work. Similarly, inquiring about their upcoming plans occasionally helps strengthen those bonds further. It’s equally important to reciprocate by sharing your own stories. This exchange fosters a sense of mutual respect and understanding, laying the foundation for a solid relationship through good and challenging times.
Celebrating successes, no matter how small, is crucial in keeping morale high. It’s essential to recognize and acknowledge the team’s contributions. This recognition serves as a reminder of their value to the organization and the impact of their work, which, in turn, motivates and inspires continued effort and dedication.
In addition to celebrating wins, it’s important to establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to guide the team’s efforts and measure success. However, not every initiative will inevitably go as planned. In these moments, adopting a ‘no blame’ culture is crucial. It’s about learning from mistakes rather than pointing fingers. This approach encourages open communication and continuous improvement, ensuring errors are valuable learning opportunities. Nonetheless, it’s important to emphasize that while a no-blame culture fosters a safe environment for growth and learning, it does not excuse repeated mistakes due to negligence or lack of effort.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Reflecting on the most effective strategy for growing my clientele, I’ve found that a multifaceted approach has made a difference. Firstly, practicing what you preach stands at the core of my strategy. By genuinely believing in my product and speaking from the heart, I’ve noticed that enthusiasm has become contagious. It’s more than just selling a product or a service; it’s about sharing something I deeply believe in, and this authenticity resonates with people.
Collaboration is another cornerstone of my strategy. I’ve made it a point to collaborate with others, whether it’s through making introductions, co-hosting webinars, or promoting others’ work. This approach isn’t just about expanding my network and building genuine relationships. The investment in these relationships often comes full circle, with those I’ve helped being more than willing to refer customers my way and help build my audience. It’s a community-driven approach that values giving before receiving, significantly contributing to my growth.
Lastly, I never stop talking to my customers. Regardless of how large my team may become, maintaining direct contact with customers ensures I never lose sight of the value I’m supposed to provide. This ongoing conversation keeps me grounded and aligned with my customers’ evolving needs and preferences. It’s a reminder that I’m not building a product or service for myself but for a community that relies on what I offer.
