Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tom McFarland. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tom, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Moving from Las Cruces, New Mexico to Rhode Island School of Art and Design was a bold decision I made on my own. Inheriting an unexpected fortune during my senior year, following the devastating loss of my mother to a drunk driver, it was a turning point for me. My relationship with risk-taking pushed me towards the unknown. While the safer choice would have been a free state school, I knew that taking this leap could lead me to explore my potential, challenge myself, and connect with a community of like-minded artists who shared the same hunger for growth and self-discovery.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
