We were lucky to catch up with Todd Marcell recently and have shared our conversation below.
Todd, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
When I started my writing journey, the reason WhY is how it began. I started my writing journey because I wanted to tell young people about issues or life that I didn’t learn growing up. I feel as though I could have miss some bumps in the road of I had someone to tell me about certain consequences. Don’t get me wrong I had the greatest dad in the world and I still lean back on the values he taught me. In turn somethings we learn from experience and everybody have different experiences , so I just wanted to share my experiences in hopes that it would help someone!!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
First off let me introduce my myself my name is Todd Marcell , I’m an Author, Visionary, Exhorter, Minister and Self Esteem Builder. My brand is encouraging people to be the best self they can be. What makes my brand or writing apart from everyone else are my 3 Core Principles
1. You will learn something new from my materiel
2. My material is memorable
3. You can apply what you read to your life instantly.
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
I take my marketing acumen from music artist. I’m from the era before social media when it was word of mouth or you used flyers and posters and such. I used to run with local rap artist to pass out they materials all over the state and region. Guerrilla marketing what I like to call it whatever to get noticed. So I took that same idea and use it to market my books.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What helped build my reputation in marketing is that I use the motto hit them where they ain’t. I’m todays time , everybody uses internet marketing, banner ads on social media . We’ll once you get off social media and go into the real world that’s where you see my marketing materials. People are rarely doing the grassroots campaign so I can kind of have kind of free reign then I come behind it with social media market ing. So I’m on your phone and in your yard and on your stop signs. I know it’s a proven method because people tell me that they see my materials all over the city!!
