Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Todd Ciepluch. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Todd, appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I probably had this realization when I was about 16. I was always fascinated and drawn to music. When I saw my first live concert I knew that was it.
Todd, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Me and Mike Arfa have played together in the past and decided to give it another go. In 2016 we started Stoneman and we’re soon joined by Joe Dingle and Devon Cantwell. I think what sets us apart is our creative process. It’s not just one person coming up with everything. We all constantly bounce ideas off of each other. Joe and Devon have helped us take that to a new level, The Cleric is a prime example. Our Album Hashtral Projection (Nov,4 2022) I think will be the best show case of that. Mainly we are just proud that people listen to our music. A success for us is being able to play out with other amazing Atlanta bands as well as share the stage with bands we have grown up listening to. Seeing Stoneman on the same flyer as some of our inspirations is a big enough achievement for us.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Connecting with other artist, and sharing the experience of music with others. We have been able to meet so many awesome musicians, we really have a great scene here.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The main goal here is to have fun. We are all doing this because it’s what we enjoy doing. We are going to make the most out of the opportunity we have been given.
