TK, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
The best thing I’ve ever done to show my clients how much I appreciate them is to PAY ATTENTION! It sounds simple, right? I read each review from my clients and what was being repeated over and over again from my 5-star reviews is the feeling of being heard! Remembering a child’s birthday, the vacation they were headed to, maybe even the funeral they attended. All of these things can be overlooked, misheard or ignored altogether. I am honored and bless to meet each person every day. I think about my client’s day before and after they leave me. I know what I encounter in a day; surely my clients experience some of these same challenges in life and work. My ultimate goal is to shower my clients with the attention and feeling of safety and refuse from the outside world. Even if for an hour. Peace is a very hot commodity :)

I’m TK; I have been in the beauty industry for over 20 years. Dual licensed educator w/aestetics and cosmetology. I love the psychology behind sales and referrals! My background begins with teaching and being a Campus Director of a cosmetology school graduating over 300 students in my tenure! From behind-the-chair teaching to being responsible for my client’s self-esteem and outward appearance, Our goal is to establish long-lasting relationships with our clients by providing them with exceptional service and an unforgettable experience. our mission is to provide our clients with the highest level of integrity and superior customer service. We strive to exceed our client’s expectations by offering unique and personalized permanent jewelry and tiny tattoo designs that are tailored to their individual styles and preferences. We are committed to creating a welcoming and comfortable upscale environment where our clients can feel confident in their decision to trust us with their body art. Our goal is to establish long-lasting relationships with our clients by providing them with exceptional service and an unforgettable experience. I am most proud of referrals. Clients send those that they care deeply about. That tells me that I am offering an experience that is unparalleled and that how they feel is what takes precedence. I am a ball of positive energy! Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think what has helped me continue to build my reputation within my market is CONSISTENCY! I will make it right, you will be happy and you will refer your inner circle. Demanding the best of myself every day is my uniform. Outside distractions aren’t allowed when I am working with clients. Clients understand that my priority is their ultimate satisfaction. Within my market that is rare because clients are often treated as secondary to the technicians’ personal and often work-life balance. My clients are with me for an average of 5 years…in the beauty business which is rare. I pride myself on transparency, professionalism, and perfectionism.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson learned was EVERYONE has a boss. Your clients are your boss, the schedule is your boss. The beauty business is an actual business. Treat it as such and it will reward you as such. The backstory is people will tell you that you have no boss as an entrepreneur and that you come and go as you want. NOT TRUE! As an entrepreneur, you are solely responsible for ensuring that you are punctual, well-versed, and delightful to 99% of the time.
