Alright, Titus thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

A meaningful project I’ve been passionately immersed in is my latest album : “The Way You Like It.” The genesis of this project began in 2023, after a deserved pause from the previous album ” Subject to Change ” and it sparked by a kaleidoscope of influences from an eclectic mix of artists and the vibrant energy of the Jam Sessions I had the privilege of hosting. These sessions were a crucible for creativity, allowing me to distill a myriad of musical ideas and experiences into something truly unique.

Throughout this journey, I’ve been graced with an unrelenting flow of inspiration, resulting in a diverse collection of tracks that each tell their own story. Some songs were born from captivating melodies and intricate harmonies that seemed to float into my consciousness, while others were shaped by the vivid memories of my adventures.
Whether it’s the thrill of past travels, the serendipity of encounters with fascinating individuals, or the fleeting moments shared with people who have come and gone, each experience has left an indelible mark on my music.

“The Way You Like It” is more than just an album; it’s a tapestry woven from the threads of incredible landscapes and the thrill of stepping beyond my comfort zone to explore new horizons. Each track invites listeners to embark on a sonic journey, offering a glimpse into the emotions and stories that have fueled my creative process.
This album is a testament to the beauty of embracing life’s unpredictability and transforming it into art that resonates with the heart and soul.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I embarked on my musical journey at a very young age, starting with small gigs in my hometown in Italy. These early experiences evolved from playing in bands to supporting various artists, eventually paving the way for me to cultivate my own original projects as an independent artist.

While my primary focus remains on crafting my own albums, where I relish the opportunity to collaborate with other talented musicians, a significant part of my career is dedicated to supporting artists, singers, and bands. Whether as a guitarist or a full-fledged producer, I bring a unique blend of skills to the table. Over the years, I’ve honed a distinct taste for crafting eloquent and effective melodies, coupled with a deep harmonic understanding that enriches my work and can be seamlessly integrated into the projects of other artists through songwriting and production.

From my very first productions, I’ve received tremendous feedback on the quality of my work. As a lifelong learner, I am perpetually refining my approach to ensure that every artist I work with achieves their desired sound and message. My commitment to making an artist sound their best is unwavering. I pride myself on delivering state-of-the-art quality sounds, a reflection of my dedication and passion for music.

Whether I’m producing my own albums or helping others bring their musical visions to life, my goal is always the same: to create music that resonates deeply and stands the test of time. My journey in the music industry is rooted in passion, perseverance, and an unyielding commitment to excellence.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

A fascinating and meaningful synchronicity occurred during the sinusoidal creative process of my latest album. Unexpectedly, I found myself captivated by a world sailing challenge known as the “Global Solo Challenge.” This event is a grueling, single-handed, non-stop circumnavigation of the globe, tackling the perilous three great capes without any outside assistance.

Throughout this epic journey, participants shared their daily struggles on social media, with videos that showed them battling giant waves, thunderstorms, fierce winds, and myriad problems aboard their boats, but also great sunny days and landscapes during the approximately five-month ordeal.

Among these intrepid sailors, one figure stood out as particularly inspiring. Her name is Cole Brauer, and she became the first American woman to race solo, nonstop, and unassisted around the world, completing the Global Solo Challenge on March 7, 2024.

Cole’s unwavering positivity and remarkable approach to overcoming difficulties struck a chord with me. Her triumphant arrival at the finish line, holding two torches aloft in a symbolic gesture of victory, after a relentless battle with the seas, deeply moved me. This moment of triumph inspired me to complete a song in her honor, capturing the infectious groove and striking melody that reflect her indomitable spirit.

The song, “Samba De Melodic,” is set to be released on June 16, 2024, and features artwork by the talented artist Ana Silva, celebrating Cole’s successful arrival. This track is not just a tribute to her incredible journey but also a reflection of my own resilience in navigating the challenges of the music industry to complete this album.

Through “Samba De Melodic,” I aim to share a piece of Cole’s extraordinary journey and the relentless drive that both she and I embody. This song, and indeed the entire album, stands as a testament to the power of perseverance, inspiration, and the incredible stories that fuel our creative endeavors.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

One of the most rewarding aspects of being an artist is the journey towards the completion of an album, when all the pieces of the puzzle come together, and a cohesive message and vision emerge. This journey holds on to the transformative power of music and the magic that happens when creativity flows unabridged.

In this album, I’ve woven together Latin, Bossa, and Samba grooves with my deep passion for Jazz. For instance, the track “Avenida El Sol” is infused with a rich danceable Latin rhythm, inspired by some vibrant landscapes of Spain. On the two tracks where I lend my own voice, I aim to convey messages of love and excitement, inviting listeners into an intimate and joyous experience. The thrill of seeing my songs released into the world and being appreciated from different perspectives is incredibly fulfilling.

Another profoundly rewarding aspect of this musical journey is the evolution of these songs when performed live. Each performance is an opportunity to breathe new life into the tracks, allowing for improvisational flourishes and spontaneous creativity that can only happen on stage. The dynamic interplay with my band during tours and gigs adds a fresh dimension to the music, making each rendition unique and memorable.

The process of blending these diverse influences and watching the songs evolve both in the studio and on stage is a reminder of the endless possibilities in music. It’s a celebration of cultural fusion, artistic exploration, and the shared human experience that music so beautifully captures. As an artist, there’s nothing more gratifying than witnessing your music resonate with audiences, evolve through live performances, and create lasting connections.
