We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tish Fletcher a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tish, appreciate you joining us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
My parent’s story is a story of resilience. Although they aren’t together, they both played a part in my journey. This story has not only shaped me but also serves as a reminder that we can all overcome any hurdles life throws our way. Despite the heartbreak of my parents’ divorce, my mother refused to let life’s adversities break me. Her resilience is something I carry with me every day. No matter what, no matter how tired she was, she and my grandparents ensured that my siblings and I got to church. Amidst the turmoil of my childhood, it was my personal relationship with Jesus that kept me grounded. This unyielding faith has been the anchor amidst life’s high tides. My faith has been my torch, lighting my path on the darkest days.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I equip Christian women over 40 women struggling with weight and body image to break free from the cycle of yo-yo dieting, nourish their bodies with wholesome foods, and cultivate a deep connection with God, resulting in a transformed physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
I offer Free group coaching via my Facebook group along with a paid membership option for those more serious about prioritizing their health.
My goal is to walk alongside women on their journey to self-love and acceptance! I have been where they are, full of doubt, overwhelmed and wondering if it’s even possible to finally break free from the shackles of endless diet cycles, body image struggles, and feelings of defeat. Trust me when we say, it is not only possible, it is within reach!
I cater to incredible women who are seeking a holistic, sustainable approach to weight loss and overall well-being. My approach doesn’t just focus on the physical, but also digs deep into the emotional and spiritual aspects that are so often overlooked in traditional weight loss programs. I truly believe that the key to sustainable weight loss and a healthy relationship with food and your body lies in addressing these underlying aspects.
I was once navigating the frustration of yo-yo diets and the pain of judgment based solely on appearance. I felt the sting of prejudice and discrimination, the heartache of body image struggles, and the fear of being trapped in a never-ending cycle. But I found my way out and transformed my life, and now I’m here to guide others on their journey, and trust me, it’s a journey worth taking.
I know that women might be skeptical, and that’s okay. I’ve been there too. But I’m here to show them that sustainable weight loss is not only achievable, but it can also be an empowering and life-changing experience. They’re not alone in this journey – I’m right there with them, with evidence-based strategies, success stories, and a community of others who have walked the path they’re embarking on.
The real transformation I offer goes beyond the scale. It’s about gaining self-confidence, vitality, and an unshakeable belief in yourself. It’s about breaking free from the constraints of past struggles, and stepping into a life where you feel empowered and at peace with your body. So, if you’re ready to embark on a journey that’s about more than just physical transformation – one where you learn to love food, your body, and most importantly, yourself – then you’re in the right place. Welcome to a future filled with freedom, self-confidence, and vitality. Welcome to my family, The Thrive Wellness Tribe.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was laid off earlier this year from a remote job that funded my brick and mortar store. It felt like one blow after another because I realized that I couldn’t afford to keep my store open, I felt like I’d hit rock bottom. But hey, sometimes, rock bottom is actually the best foundation to start building, right?
I realized that the need for health and wellness didn’t disappear – it just moved online! So, I decided to take my passion and knowledge, and pivot towards creating an online growth community.
Finding my niche in online group coaching has been a game changer! I’m able to reach people in a way I could never have done with my store. It’s like opening a window and letting in a whole lot of sunshine!
I’ve completely fallen head over heels for online group coaching! The connection, the camaraderie, the impact – it’s all a thrilling ride!
I discovered that the online world is packed with people hungry for guidance and support – my guidance and support! I didn’t need to find them; they found me!
In the past, I loved the one-on-one interaction in my store, but online coaching opened up a world where I could affect not just one, but dozens of lives at a time!
The sense of being part of a community, part of something bigger, is an amazing turn in my journey. I’m not just giving; I’m receiving so much more in return!
Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful for the pivot I had to make. It forced me out of my comfort zone and into a world of possibilities!
Today, I’m here to encourage everyone facing a pivot in their life – embrace it! It could be the best thing that ever happened to you!
As they say, when one door closes, another one opens! And sometimes, that door leads to a world you never knew existed. So, let’s celebrate the pivot! #PivotToProgress
