We were lucky to catch up with Tisa Anderson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tisa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Wow, it’s hard to write this without shedding a tear—happy tears. This all started in my kitchen, cooking for my daughters’ dance team and friends. I wanted to promote healthy food options to family and friends, not knowing my health kick would lead to beloved beverages instead. I’ve always been passionate about health, loving weightlifting and working out since high school.
Life after high school brought marriage, kids, divorce, and being a single mom. I lost sight of my passions. After healing from my divorce and figuring out what I wanted, I went to college for a degree in Business and HR, which unknowingly prepared me to run a business. Despite not knowing what to do post-divorce, my visions and dreams about health and fitness persisted.
I started getting healthy again with a personal trainer, and the idea of promoting health grew stronger. Nearly 40 years old, I realized my passion was health and wellness. My first attempt, Body by Tisa, didn’t feel right. But when my granddaughter was born, TBella’s Health and Wellness emerged. COVID hit, making me rethink health. Research on Seamoss and clean eating led me to realize how unhealthy commercial smoothies were, so I started making my own.
Networking and encouragement from friends and family pushed me to start my juice business. TBella’s, named after my granddaughter and me, was born. I used my small kitchen, researched, and collaborated with small businesses to build my brand.
Who knew COVID, my granddaughter’s birth, and a vision would lead me here? I am grateful for this journey.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m just a girl who loves fashion and the spotlight, but I prefer to stay in the background, observing and learning. My brand started because my family suffered from chronic diseases and poor health habits. Watching my father neglect his health made me determined to pursue a healthier lifestyle for myself, my kids, and others around me. I focused on health and wellness, incorporating more fruits and veggies into our diet.
Losing loved ones to health issues motivated me to help others live better. My brand features all-organic, hand-picked produce and high-quality Seamoss from the Caribbean. The journey wasn’t easy—I faced many trials and errors, from figuring out veganism to learning about food combinations and label reading. I invested a lot to ensure the quality of my products.
What sets my brand apart is thorough research and a commitment to educating others about health. “For lack of knowledge, my people will perish.” (Hosea 4:6). I want everyone to win at this health journey and pass on the knowledge.
I’m proud of stepping out on faith and turning my journey into a business. I am dedicated to my customers and their health goals. I provide honest, researched information and run a faith-based business that values hard work and prayer. At TBella’s, we focus on overall wellness, encouraging self-love, goal-chasing, and prioritizing oneself. A healthy mom inspires a healthy family.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I wasn’t a tech person at first, and my early days on social media were a mess. I used to get so frustrated and felt like I’d never get it right. Then, I saw a post saying, “Your post will never be perfect, so what are you waiting for?” That changed everything. I started asking my goddaughter and son for help, used YouTube tutorials, and gradually got the hang of it.
I already had a personal Instagram page, so my sister/friend Maria suggested starting a separate business page. My brother Tony encouraged me to post more often, reminding me that perfection isn’t necessary. Learning to create reels boosted my followers and engagement.
For anyone starting out, my advice is to confidently post about your business. Pray for guidance, ask for help, follow successful people, and post daily. Reuse popular posts with different music if needed. The key is to start and keep going—someone out there is waiting to hear your story.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
My best source for new clients is the positive word of mouth from my existing clients. They frequently post about my products and services on their social media platforms, and I actively share content on my Instagram.
My clients love what I provide and share their positive experiences and results with their family and friends. This generates interest and attracts new clients who want to achieve similar benefits for their health, skin, and sleep. In the end, it’s all about spreading that positive feeling and experience.
