We were lucky to catch up with TipTop MX recently and have shared our conversation below.

TipTop, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you manage your own social media?

We’ve been asked who manages our social networks, and we’re proud to say that we create and curate all the content we share.

Diana: Thania recently shared a screenshot with me showing that we’ve reached 7,000 followers. Whether it may seem like a small or large number, it means a lot to us because our growth has been organic. We prioritize quality over quantity, and our virtual community is amazing. Many people actively participate in every activity we design and share. Consistency is key for us.

Thania: Our primary social platform is Instagram, where you can find a wealth of tips, outfit inspiration, analysis of public figures’ image, updates on the events we participate in, short videos from our podcast, and behind-the-scenes at our image consulting sessions.

However, we also understand the importance of having a presence on other platforms. We are gradually making our mark on TikTok, and we’ve also established a presence on LinkedIn to reach a different audience profile, including professionals and companies that hire our services.

We believe that collaboration between brands is crucial nowadays. Lately, we’ve found success in involving our own clients, who have already completed a program with us, to create videos like “Get Ready With Me” or “Digital Diary.” This arrangement creates a win-win scenario since they gain visibility, and we can diversify our content.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

TipTop is an image consulting agency that celebrates its 6th year of operation this 2023. We offer specialized services across 7 areas of public image.

For instance, we provide support to university students or recent graduates throughout the entire process of resume preparation and LinkedIn profile configuration, including professional photography. This service is an integral part of how TipTop began.

We also offer online workshops on Personal Image for anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of themselves, identifying their personal style, body type, and defining their desired communication goals.

Our 1:1 programs are specifically designed for entrepreneurs, business owners, and public figures seeking to enhance their personal brand. We create customized programs that include sessions on physical image, digital image, and public image.
These areas of expertise are relatively unexplored in our region. As one of the few certified consultants by the leading Image Institution in Mexico and LATAM, we offer significant added value through our work methodology.

We have designed tailored programs for professionals from various fields such as doctors, architects, artists, psychologists, lawyers, accountants, and leaders in diverse industries. Our clients serve as our most powerful evidence to the quality of our services.

Lastly, under Corporate Image, we provide training to organizations and assist them in achieving top-of-mind awareness.

How’d you meet your business partner?

We first met when we were 11 years old and studied together in the 7th grade, forming a strong friendship.

Diana: I remember that Thania used to have a calendar with different hairstyles for our group of friends. Each day of the week, we would experiment with different styles. I believe that was when her talent and passion for becoming an image consultant started to show.

Thania: Our paths crossed again in university, where we pursued different careers. Diana studied Marketing, while I pursued Psychology. We both had our unique professional experiences before the idea of TipTop came to fruition. One day, Diana reached out to me, shared her business idea, and invited me for a coffee. Six years later, here we are, embarking on this exciting journey.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?

We believe that follow-up is essential. After a person completes their program at TipTop, we emphasize the importance of staying in touch. We encourage them to reach out to us freely and confidently with any questions or concerns.

We have 145 shared WhatsApp groups where we receive daily inquiries, photos, audios, and questions regarding outfits or digital strategies.

We have found that a simple “how have you been?” message works better than an institutional gift with our logo. In this context, we ask about their well-being, their families, and even their pets (calling them by their names), showing that we value what is important to each individual client. Attention to these details is crucial in strengthening relationships and fostering brand loyalty.

We organize an annual networking event called Sip & Swap exclusively for clients of our personalized programs. These events take place in trendy venues in Tijuana. In the past, we have held a mixology class at Enmienda 18, a mezcal blind tasting at Piedra Santa, and a business etiquette class combined with a wine tasting at Verde Crema, this last one in collaboration with Cavalier Wine Society, a wine school owned by one of our clients.

These carefully crafted experiences allow for new connections to form among attendees, and it gives us an opportunity to meet and have a great time together.

We genuinely celebrate our clients’ achievements and support them every step of their personal and professional journey. We are delighted when business relationships evolve into friendships. We have been invited to weddings, birthday celebrations, and other special events, which further solidifies the bond we have with our clients.

There is a mutual appreciation between us and our clients. We appreciate their trust in us and their willingness to include us in their lives. In turn, they recommend us to new individuals, creating a virtuous circle of growth and success.
