We were lucky to catch up with Tionta Witherspoon recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Tionta thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

8 years I stepped out on faith because Delta didn’t want to give me my benefits. I was tired of building up everyone else’s job but I was treated like I didn’t matter. I left that day and have never looked back. God has set me on a path to help give anyone a platform to share their gifts to the world. The name of my company is called Vegasworldinatl Entertainment LLC. I have done some amazing events over the years in the Atlanta Metro area to give back to my community, to winning awards, many achievements and accomplishments. I am beyond grateful to see what 2024 has in store for us all.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Tionta Witherspoon. I am a single mother to 4 children plus 3 grandchildren. I was born in Santa Anna, California but raised in Las Vegas, NV. I had an unfortunate childhood due to the lack of NO LOVE on both sides of my family. I left home at the age of 13 and was pregnant by 17. I raise all my kids as a single parent due to their absent father’s believing that their lives were more important. I have been through Economic Hardships, Homelessness Sexual Abuse, Domestic Violence, Suicide Attempts, Family & Children Services (DFACS) and Prison. I am a self-employed business owner of Vegasworldinatl Entertainment LLC. My company empowers your voice to be heard . My Motto and Purpose is to be a blessing to others. I have worked with many industry and artist clientele, where my portfolio can produce any type of event. My entrepreneurship includes Motivational Speaker, Radio Host, A&R Assistant, Facilitator, Promotor, Model, Gospel Artist, Singer,  Songwriter, Rapper, Poetic, Writer, Author, Event Planner, Booking Agent and Prayer Warrior. I am very grateful to be in the position I am today because I remember the day when I almost lost my life. My Autobiography “Disconnected From This World”, The Untold Story will be a gift to encourage other women to weather the storm.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Yes, just last Sat. Feb 24th for my event. The owners of the established acted like they didn’t know that I was having a event at their place when I have been promoting their business through all my social media and Eventbrite. I was in contact with both of them since January and I put a contract in place just in case things like this would be covered. Well I had less than 24 hours to make it happen. I got on the phone with my full Mobile bar service and told them I had to move everything so I called on God to help me since it was his event. Well, I got a place that was so beautiful and people showed up and showed out. I am very grateful for being a child of the most high.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

My resilience and being my biggest cheerleader. Back in April of 2020 my Instagram page was taken at 6k followers and I got all of them from working in this Atlanta streets putting on shows, my radio show and podcast. Also in May of 2023 my Tictok page was taken at 10k followers. I wanted to give up because I am a content creator as well and I couldn’t get all that back content I created. Instead of me throwing in the towel I started over. Now my IG in at 12.5k followers and my Tictok is at 4k. I thank God everyday because I am not a quitter. My life and story will reveal all of that.
