Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiny Humans. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tiny Humans, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
So, I can’t speak for the rest of the band since we’re a 4 piece but my name is Chris and I play guitar and I sing in this band. When I first knew I wanted to play music, write songs and be in a band I was like 12 years old. I’m queer and I stutter so I didn’t really have an outlet and got bullied for who I was and how I talked. So, finding bands like Nirvana, Bad Brains, Bikini Kill, Hole, Sonic Youth and all that? It showed me there was a way I could express myself in more ways than just having a normal conversation. I appreciated that a lot and I’m very happy I decided to take this path.

Tiny Humans, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well, I got into music very young like I said and I started going to shows to meet other musicians. I grew up in DC so I got my start out there but didn’t really get heavy into it until I moved to Denver. I think what sets us apart from others is our integrity but that could also just be me tooting our own horn. I don’t think we have anything that sets us apart per say that wouldn’t be super egotistical sounding, but we put on a good show and write music people vibe with so that’s cool and I’m very proud of that. The main thing id want people to know about this band? We’re a queer band, so if you’re bigoted in anyway? Please don’t come to our shows or buy our records

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Go to shows, your friends play in a band or create any sort of art? Buy their merch or share their stuff. Word of mouth goes a long way still

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Being able to connect with people, seeing people dance to our music because we take pride in what we do while making this music. It’s really heartwarming and makes us really happy
