Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tino Valentino. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, Tino thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with inspirations and heroes. Are there any historical figures you look up to?

Jesus Christ is who I look up to. He is a man who came to save us and HE has everything you need…love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness. The reason I look up to Him is because I need to be saved. I am a sinner and a person who is far from perfect.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Jon Paul Juarez aka “La Máquina del Amor; The Love Machine” Tino Valentino, I am a professional wrestler and a business owner of JC Heating and cooling a local heating and air conditioning company in Amarillo, Texas. I’ve been in the HVAC business for all my life because I grew up in the business along my father and my brother. I tell people I was “forced” into this business but I just play around because it is truly a blessing. I got into pro wrestling because I was always a fan and wanted to see how to become a wrestler, so I used google and found a local school and started training then I moved to Davenport Iowa for a bit to train under WWE superstar Seth Rollins. For my HVAC side we provide service and installation to local and out of town businesses ranging from all sizes in mobile homes, residential, and light commercial buildings. For the wrestling side I provide good quality entertainment in the matches I do have. The thing that sets us apart at JC heating and Cooling is we are a word of mouth business, we do have marketing but it feels good that we provide honesty within our work to help each customer the best we can. We believe this way of business is truly the best and most reliable. We have been in business since 1985 and want to continue to grow and provide the Amarillo and surrounding areas with the best service possible. The thing that sets me apart for wrestling is the heart I have in the ring. I strive to do and entertain the best way I can because you never know who is out there that is having a terrible time and all they want to do is forget for a moment. I am most proud of JC Heating and cooling because we are a family company. Not everyone in the business is a blood family member but that is exactly how it feels like. To be able to come in and get along with every single college you have is amazing and I want that to keep going because the better chemistry you have the better you will work together. For both my hvac business and wrestling side I am most proud of making and building relationships with whoever I come into contact with. There is so many people out there in this dark work with beautiful hearts and it just takes a hello to find that out.

Any advice for managing a team?

Be a leader not a boss. There is so many bosses out there who just give direction instead of leading them in the direction they need to go. I don’t know everything and the only way to learn is to make mistakes. I want to make sure all the people I lead know I am with them and I am here to go through the mud with them.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

My side hustle which is professional wrestling has not yet turned into my full time job. Although it has blessed me with extra money so that I can do repairs on my car, pay for doctor bills, and other things that I don’t have to use my other paycheck for. One day I do pray I get signed to a major wrestling company but until then I am enjoying myself.
