We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tina Wilson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tina thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
As a professional simply starting out, prior to going own..I showed up to train at a gym on their watch.. received a phone call my son whom was 1 was very ill, fever 102 diarrhea and vommitting. I went to tell my boss I have to leave to get me son, she proceeded with your unable to leave at the moment. At that very moment the trajectory of my life forever changed. I knew then Business owner it was.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
💪🙏Confident, I heard God speak to me that I was going to run a business Called Ybhtfitness (your body his temple) You will assist, train women and or men the discipline of self care You will educate them how to honor my temple physically mentally emotionally. I immediately went to school got certified in my field. After 2 years of minimal results in my clients I went back to school to get certified in Nutrition. From that point on, producing results in my clients became unmatched.
💪🥦🍓With The majority of the world’s population, up to 87 percent, not consuming enough fruits and vegetables, The 1 product I stand by and provide on my website is Juice Plus(fruit and vegetable capsules) Too many benefits not to consume daily.
💪I provide group training, 1on1 private training and couple training using a variety of workout regimens be it weights, bands, or even bosu training. The main issue I solve for my clients is taking the thinking out of their meal planning and educating them on how to eat what you eat when you eat it. Lol.
What sets me apart from most trainers, is the education behind nutrition, living it myself and giving them the understanding behind food. Outside of that is providing them with a different workout every week or even every time they train.
💪What I’m most proud of is Obeying the voice is God 24 years ago regarding starting this business! Obedience is everything!
💪The main thing I want potential clients to know about me… I’m in this journey with them. I live a vegan life style, choose to walk in discipline, i truly believe whatever you meditate on GROWS. If you truly want the weight off, you will do what’s necessary to get it off. On the other hand I Love my craft, I love to see clients reach their fullest potential. Quality of life is everything. I truly believe health is wealth. And maintaining balance in My faith/family&friends/ Food/ Fitness is a priority.
My Motto🥦🍓💪🙏nothing Taste as good as fitness feels.
My belief..is if your out of alignment in your spiritual walk …it will reflect in overeating, not workout out, self sabotage, sleep deprivation.self indulgence self neglect etc…
🙏Honoring God’s Temple helps you to see food differently.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
If I could go back, I most definitely would choose the exact same profession. Niece, I would simply change the negative energy I carried for years regarding having a store front. For me, I Walk taller when I do what God said to do and how to do with no stress added. Lol

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Other than training/ knowledge what’s been most successful for me is producing results and being patient with the client as they unlearn their whole life story as it pertains to food, poor family habits and a practice of self sabotage. Both of these is what your client is going to go yep the NEXT POTENTIAL CLIENT.
