We were lucky to catch up with Tina Snyder, Owner, Creator and Designer of Enchanted Etc. recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tina, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
In June 2016, Tina and her mom spent an afternoon enjoying the topiaries and blooms at Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival. Excited to participate in the magic, Tina searched the park for a pair of floral mouse ears but unfortunately found nothing that matched what she envisioned.
After some thought, Tina decided to design her own pair, posted them on social media, and received a ton of compliments. That’s when Enchanted Etc. blossomed!
Tina uses her creativity and imagination (sprinkled with a little magic), to design her beautiful and unique inspired floral mouse ears. These mouse ears are handmade for special occasions, holidays, sports teams, characters, etc … the list is endless. Available for adults and children of all ages.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
Enchanted Etc. started as something I was originally creating for my mom and I to wear when visiting the theme parks that ended up molding into a small business venture.
In my professional career, I work in the Marketing field within the Tampa Bay area. I am mostly proud of graduating from the University of South Florida with a BA in Marketing and Minor in International Business Management.
I believe that I have an eye for putting things together and making them look good – fashion, accessories, etc. I am always up-to-date on popular brands. I enjoy keeping up with local theme park bloggers and what “theme park” trends are in style as well

How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.
In the beginning of my journey with Enchanted Etc., I maintained my own website but working full time and running a small business keeping a website up-to-date was a lot of work so I decided to pull away and use Etsy as my e-commerce platform. The Pros of using Etsy: It’s easy to set up and maintain, a trusted web based platform, an established payment system, strong organic traffic and low shipping fees compared to other shipping services. The Cons of using Etsy: Increase in competition, lacks creativity with brand images, fees can add up quickly and lack of control (meaning you have to follow terms and conditions compared to having your own company website). Word of advice, try not to let some of the “Cons” of Etsy scare you away. Do your research and find the best e-commerce platform that works well for you and your company. I personally like having an Etsy shop because it is a great way to gain new customers and continue to build relationships with loyal customers.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
The most effective strategy for growing Enchanted Etc.’s clientele and audience is encouraging consumers, clients and brand ambassadors to share their pictures on social media by wearing their floral inspired mouse ears. We enjoy sharing positive reviews with our audience and communicating through word-of-mouth. Enchanted Etc. strives to maintain and build our Instagram by posting new products and latest theme park trends through pictures, reels and stories. It is important that we gain new followers organically and continue to build relationships within the community. In our spare time, we also try to collaborate with local businesses participating in raffles, giveaways, craft shows/pop-up events and passing out business cards when we have the opportunity.
