We recently connected with Tina Rivera, PTA and have shared our conversation below.
Tina , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
I modeled my business after things I felt were missing in the Medical Field. I worked for someone else to make sure I could gain the most knowledge and experience
One of the key challenges was getting a space and people to believe in the vision
Building a solid client and patient base was key
I would have scaled my business earlier on.
I would advise any young professional to believe in themselves even when no one can see their vision. Try and gain as much experience as you can before branching out on their own

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have been in medical field for over 8 years. Owning my own wellness center 1 year and half. I provide individual specialized care. Putting the client first and focusing on the area of concern. My goal is to help people heal themselves inside and out. I love educating people to control of their own health. I work with celebrities and the general population. I have helped clients who suffer from severe back pain, frozen shoulder and rotor cuff injuries. What sets me apart is the fact that I can results in just one session my goal is to get people better in one or two sessions. I am most proud of giving people back their quality of life.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
I would have done it a lot sooner. But everything happens in divine timing. I walk in my purpose and love what I do
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I first decided to get certified for Fascial Stretch Therapy. The doctor I worked for said it was a waste of time and money. But I decided to go forward use my own and a my weeks vacation to better myself
