Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tina Nixon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful you definitely have to put in the work. You have to pray your way through success because there will always be bumps in the road. You have to have high energy, high expectations, you have to be determined, you have to set goals for yourself and you have to motivate yourself. Success is not a easy job for everybody but if you put in the time and effort success will surly come!
Tina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I use to live in Oak park Illinois..growing up my mom had her own businesses where she employed me and my sister at young ages….We worked in sales and at a letter center. 2009 I moved to Georgia and went to school to become a medical assistant. I graduated with high honors, perfect attendance and I was the ambassador of my class. During my intern I was hired at “Doctors George’s” family practice in Douglasville Georgia. I later started acting classes and became very interested. I started building my resume as actor. I got an agent and started to audition for various projects. I worked on movies and Tv shows…..Just Mercy, Hidden Figures, Summer 03’ , Best of Enemies, and the list goes on. I joined SAG-AFTRA and I have been continuing my journey as an actor where I will soon be rewarded for my hard work and dedication.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for me has been networking and social media.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
In 2002 I was in a terrible car wreck and broke my second vertebrae. I wore a hallo for 3months. The doctor prescribed me medication for depression. I never took it…the support from my family is how I overcame. When that hallo came off after 3months. I became stronger in faith. I finished medical school and now I’m a working actor. I’ve also done stunt work!
