We recently connected with Tina Crossley and have shared our conversation below.
Tina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I knew at a very young age. I started performing in plays, and programming drum machines, as well as learning to play piano by ear at 5 years old! I have always had a fascination with music.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My passion for singing comes from within. That doesn’t mean I didn’t learn from my show parents, but I honestly love music. It makes me happy to see people smile when they hear me sing. Singing in front of many crowds, while performing with all of the bands I have had the pleasure to play with, gave me the confidence to perform solo also. I have sang at Weddings, in commercials, and festivals! My dream is to perform in a huge sold out Stadium!
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I feel so free on stage. It’s like you are watching yourself perform somehow. Meeting new people in the music, fashion, art industry and district is amazing. I never knew there were so many people in San Antonio like me! We help each other try to succeed. I love supporting other creatives.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I learned how to work social media faster.Me being generation X, it was different and difficult, but I figured it out. Sometimes it’s not what you know, it’s who you know, and I know many people now that I have taught myself how to Network.
