We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Timothy Roman . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Timothy below.
Timothy , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you find your key vendor or vendors? Maybe you can share the backstory and share some context and the relevant details to help us understand why you chose them, why they chose you, etc.
The biggest piece of advice is to do extensive competitive research and then take massive action. -Find out who your main competitors are in the space where you want to compete.
-Where are the vendors congregated (look for associations and trade shows to attend)
-Look for podcasts and blogs and or youtube channels to learn from
-Jump on a plane and visit factories and just ask for the sale. its ok if you are starting from zero. Out of 10 vendors one will say yes and take a chance on you.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
This story is featured in Gary Vaynerchuk’s latest NY Times bestseller “Crushing it” I came to the USA as an immigrant at the age of 12 without knowing any English. My family didn’t have any money and I quickly started to make ends meet however I could. Including in that was getting into serious trouble chasing easy money. After being arrested I took to self-development, turned my life around, and started my business from scratch.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
Approximately 2 years ago I decided to launch a new business and after doing a lot of self-development I realized that to reach new heights you need to leverage Who no How. This is what led me to bring in a partner with a 50% share interest and it has been one of the best things I have ever done in my career.
