We recently connected with Timothy Hill and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Timothy , thanks for joining us today. What can you share with us about the story behind how you found your key vendors?
Going from Idea to Execution Producing a virtual event is one that takes time and effort from all parties involved. We were doing live in person shows before the pandemic and planned on going on a tour until everything got shut down in 2020. During this time, we teamed up with Romye Robinson from the group Pharcyde which enabled us to add the Heart 2 Heart Talk Show on a virtual platform via zoom which also included the show being streamed live on the Pharcyde TV Youtube Channel but it’s not as simple as it appears.
To execute the show effectively, we have our weekly team meetings which includes team rehearsals with the Producer, hosts and Co producers so that the flow of the show is properly ascertained and any potential hiccups that we may encounter can be resolved during these meetings. That is not to say that everything is always perfect but presentation is key for us. We started off rocky back in 2020 when we produced our first show but from then we gradually improved with each show that was produced. Feedback from our audience as well as panelists also assisted in this area.
The Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show is big on supporting artists and businesses. With that in mind, we have a talent show segment as well as sponsorship commercial slots which are streamed during the show. To effectively execute this segment, our co producer Black Legacy from Starvin Mind Records produced a “how to” talent showcase video highlighting what artists can do to have their talent showcased during the show. See the link below to learn more.
One other noteworthy idea was to interview our panelists before the virtual event. This gave the producers an opportunity to get to know the panelists on a more personal level as well as providing a unique experience to our audience members tuning in. Panelists were able to share upcoming events and a little more about themselves. The interviews also allowed us to use their introductions during the virtual show which made the show flow freely. This is one of the technical areas that Black Legacy has been able to execute effectively.
With that being said, meetings are vital and important. We have gone from having ideas on paper to executing a show via zoom with celebrity panelists and audience members tuning in from all over the world. It is a job that is commendable by our Producer Tim Hill who has a vision and a team which helps him execute this vision.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Timothy Hill and I produce the celebrity Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show out of Detroit Michigan. Producing a celebrity relationship talk show was never in my plan, but instead aligned with my purpose to help others. My childhood was very unique. As a young kid I grew up the only black in the small rural town of Imlay City. For some, i was the first black person for some to see face to face. There, I experienced both ends of the spectrum between love and hate. To say the least I was often stared at in amazement, whispered about, and sometimes feared just because I was black. Needless to say, relationships weren’t my forte and I ended up disconnecting from people to better connect to myself and my gifts. In doing so that gave me understanding of others and how to overcome various mental traumas. Using my pain for purpose I was led to create a relationship greeting card company in 2011 and was able to launch it in 2017. The relationship greeting cards addressed various dynamics of the relationships and was doing quite well until I was ghosted on a business loan that I had given and wasn’t returned. Unrelenting of my circumstances, I created the celebrity Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show that provides platform for people to ask taboo relationship questions and get the perspectives from our celebrity guest followed by a chance for audience responses. To be honest the Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show is one of the originators of relationship talk shows that has somewhat flooded social media today. It seem as if everyone now has a podcast or segment in their show that addresses relationships. Detroit Morning Hustle, Ask Angela Ye, Ask C&E, and I could go on. No pun to any of those shows, but most of them put content out for clicks and entertainment whereas the Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show actually tries to help by including a liscensed therapist on every show for questions that may need professional advice. Unlike other shows where the show select the topics, the Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show solicit for questions from the audience so that the discussions are viewer driven. I can’t give the whole recipe to the show, but another major difference is instead of just listening to people talk we provide opportunities for people to ask questions, comment, and speak with celebrities. No other show does that. I’m very proud of our accomplishments thus far. The Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show was created from nothing and now we are partnered with PharcydeTV, have the capability to do the show in person or virtual, and we get to talk to celebrities and viewers from all over the world while helping them address taboo relationship topics. I’m also proud of the team. Black Legacy, Trina, Kim Carey and George Golliday have been nothing short of amazing in putting together and executing the show. The team has a passion for helping people and celebrities and audience members love being apart of the Heart 2 Heart Relationship Talk Show where no two shows are never the same.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
My reputation has always meant a lot to me since a kid. I grew up with the saying all a man has is his balls and his word. I understood that a good reputation could open doors and give favor in times of need. Here are a few things thats help me build my reputation in business. I keep my word by doing what I say im going to do. Nothing kills your reputation faster when you don’t. We help others by market other people’s brands and give space for self promotion while also networking with established celebrities. Another quality that has helped is I always show everyone respect. Respect is very important. It’s also another fast way to kill a reputation. Give the janitor the same respect as thr CEO and directly address any disrespect. Other qualities that have helped build my reputation is a winning track record and the balls not to be scared to take risks. If i had played it safe, and not taken the right risks, I know I would not be to the point I’m at today.
Any advice for managing a team?
Managing a team is hard enough. You have multiple personalities that you have to cater to. Listen to, advise, and support. In managing a team you have to be good with time management. You have to understand who it is you are managing. Some people need more attention and direction than others. Valuable communication is also important. I’m big on not wasting people’s time so in whatever time I ask from the team, I try to make it have some value. Those are just a few variables that come to mind. To maintain high morale we celebrate each others wins, communicate once to twice a week at minimum, support each other, and by all means keep the meetings enjoyable and have fun doing it.
