Hi Timoteo, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career.

What I would like to change/add would be making basic life skills and personal finance a required class to take starting from middle/junior high school all the way to a required class to graduate from high school. I feel like life skills for example cooking and gardening are great way to teach independence, how to be self-sufficient and could even be turned into a career. Even showing them how to change a tire. As far as for personal finance, this will also teach how to be independent, manage expenses and budgeting so hopefully once they are in the real world they won’t accumulate a ton of debt before they are 21.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a 34 year old SoCal native, born and raised in Fallbrook (north county of San Diego) and wouldn’t want to live any where else. I started SanCozy Clothing in 2016 as a way for me to be able to wear my own designs and fit the way I like, more of a loose/baggy fit. Everything at the time was too tight, I then figured that I maybe other people might like my designs and they way the clothes would fit so I went for it.

The name for the brand came from the two streets (Sancado Terrece and Cozy Ct) that me and my child hood friends grow up playing hide and go seek, riding our bikes, just having a great time but I feel it has grown to be kind of another way to describe San Diego, it’s cozy/comfortable, you get the best of everything go spend some time in the desert and later in the day spend the afternoon relaxing at the beach. If you don’t like the outdoors there’s plenty more to do, you have museums, great restaurants, you name it San Diego has it.

With that being SanCozy is lifestyle brand that is perfect for any occasion and gives that feel good feeling while wearing it. Since we keep everything nice and simple outfits come together effortless.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

For me the most effective strategy for growing my clientele is just to be honest and be my self when I talk about my brand either SanCozy or barbering. I feel that as long as I believe in it and show that I am passionate about my brands everyone else will see that.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

For me the most rewarding aspect of being creative is that you leave a piece of your self in your work and a the reaction of the person your taking care of from them and really appreciating the piece of clothing with one of the designs that you spent a lot if the time and effort on or even the smile from when you show them the finial result of the haircut and how great the feel. I like to believe in look good, feel good and be good.
