We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Timmy Turner a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Timmy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
Growing up with watching movies and being amazed at the power of film, and making fun little stop motion with friends, it was made apparent that this is what I wanna do with my life. All through high school took the same class, an Urban Legends Class where we made short horror films and as of October 22nd, we are finally releasing our final Urban Legends film “Whisper: Echoes of Dread” Besides Urban Legends, we have also worked on short animated films with our Blanket Man films, and our comedy series Fernando with its first season fully released, and a season two ready for 2024! Besides our YouTube channel, I’ve also been working on videos for JTV Entertainment and social media videos for the SSS at University at Parkside. I just love to capture moments and meet amazing people, and making those connection furthering my career and my small business for SMIBB Productions.

Timmy, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
SMIBB Productions has been a small entertainment company, with different films and genres we strive to make quality films and learn from our endeavors. Whisper: Echoes of Dread (2023) being a massive project and undertaking, as we didn’t just have to end a 5+ year series but to create a grand spectacul with crazy effects and test our limits with our cinematography, acting, and editing! Thus being our first theatrical length film, being a whooping 60 minutes was no easy task. SMIBB is to purely entertain, and the brand stretches out even further, such as our other channels SMIBB Music, cresting our own soundtrack, reaching out to music talents, shout outs and more! SMIBB Bricks, creating satircal Lego content (as we didn’t wanna just be another lego channel) and Urban Legends Cinematic Universe being our hub of all the student films that are achieved!

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
I think when working with many people on especially a film project, to always find the unique attributes of everyone! Not everyone can be an actor or director, but some people are amazing storytellers and can use their passion to be a writer or a storyboard artist. I know alot of people who love the editing process and having things coming together. Keeping a high morale is also never easy, just having a positive mindset, even when things go wrong, which it always will. I feel like I should always be prepared for something to go wrong, and to be honest most of Whisper Echoes of Dread was defintly our third plan, and that’s totally fine.
