We were lucky to catch up with Tim Lyons recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tim, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I always knew streaming was the future. I always wanted my own television app.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Tim Wak Lyons bka Eddie Kayne, I was formally known as a radio personality and tv show executive producer who gave independent artists a voice long before terrestrial radio and television started really spinning artist or playing unknown artists videos. I co executive produced the Eddie Kayne TV show in 2013 with Lester Oates on the CW Network. 2016, we moved the show to CBS 46 in Atlanta. We then took a hiatus from television for a few years. In 2021, during the height of the pandemic we purchased a television OTT VOD PPV APP AlleyOOp Television that’s currently featured in the Roku AppleTV AmazonFireTv app store’s worldwide. We’ve produced several exclusive shows for the app such as That Aint It the comedy TV competition, Wicked Streetz which focuses on tragedies that families face due to homicide etc. Our latest TV series we’re executive producing is Driven By Danger written by myself. We’re currently casting for the this television series. We’re looking to start shooting the 1st episode March 2024.
This show is directed/produced by James Jones of Truth Tella films. I also host a podcast with BIG Skillz called Turn It Up as well Just stating for the record.

Can you talk to us about your experience with buying businesses?
Purchasing the television app AlleyOOp Television was a no-brainer. We’re able to now control the narrative when it comes to our content. We move on our own terms! We own 100% of the app! We’re in no rush. We’re running our race at our pace. We currently don’t and have never received funding for our app, everything is finaced out of pocket.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Owning a business starts with promoting it whether paid marketing by mouth posting on social media. You’re always promoting your brand and looking for different ways to market your brand.
