We were lucky to catch up with Tim Arnwine recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tim, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
For over 20 years, I have been conducting Ghost Hunting investigations. I have written books and conducted lectures on the field. I have investigated various types of locations as well as private residential homes. There is a feeling of satisfaction when you help people find answers to their concerns. Sometimes it is paranormal, most of time it is something that can be explained
Over the past 20 years, there has been a great uptick of interest in the field of Ghost Hunting. It has been a pleasure teaching and giving lectures to hundreds of people interested in our field. Our “Public Investigations” have gained interest over the past
12 years. We have conducted these events in numerous historic locations. The exciting part is that we get to introduce these locations and their history to the people. At the same time, we help to use our passion to help raise funds for the locations.
The relationship with the caring staff of the locations has been another blessing. Thier commitment to maintaining the beauty and history of these locations, is inspiring.
Tim, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Tim Arnwine, a retired paramedic, turned author/lecturer. I never had an epitome, where I saw a deceased relative standing by my bed. I have seen so much death and dying in my profession, I began to think, there had to be more than, plunking someone into ground.
I began to open my mind to the possibilities and started to investigate. Since I worked in a hospital, I began in quiet areas in the hospital and did the normal cemetery crawls. The interest in our field has exploded and I am proud of the hundreds of lectures on the subject and thousands of questions answered from people through conversation and fellow investigators. I believe every question we answer or evidence we review, can only better our field. Our team, Afterlife Allstars have two goals during our investigation, whether they for private owners or public events, that our clients and guests know they are top priority. We have an amazing social media, but do not live for clicks, but to find answers and introduce our field to the general public.
I have with cooperation with Afterlife Allstars have expanded my tutorials to a weekly Instagram series, called Hump Day Happenings to reach more people who would like to get involved in our field.
Our team is out in the field, several times a month, looking for answers that would help a client and we never charge to conduct an investigation. We also are conducting various experiments to help improve the field and techniques.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I have been involved in ghost hunting investigation for over 20 years, which includes the pandemic time in our country.
While other teams were taking a long sabbatical, I was able to work, through my long-term relationships with various locations. During these times, i was able conduct experiments and able to conduct some unique investigations. It was interesting to investigate known haunted places with a new atmosphere. These locations, once bustling is now laid empty thanks to the pandemic and lockdown.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
As with any other field, an explosion of interest, will also bring an explosion of skeptics. The greatest light for ghost hunting has been in the massive exposure of shows on network, cable, internet streaming platforms. A small sliver of these investigators may embellish or dramatize evidence or situations. Unfortunately, the skeptics will pounce on them.
During my lectures and conversations, I strive to keep an honest face on the field. I always end my lectures and tutorials the same way.
“If you’re out there investigating, please be safe, and….always run an honest investigation,,,
