We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tim Adeyingbo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tim, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
Growing up as a little kid in the early 2000s, I always knew I had a creative mindset because I used to mimic and design NBA Basketball courts, and also design CD covers with my Crayola crayons and colored pencils. At that moment, that was the spark that I knew I was going to be in the creative field which carried on with me in later years when I started pursuing other avenues in the creative field like Modeling, Creating a Luxury Shoe Brand, and Writing Books. Overall, pursuing a creative path started early for me.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
A summary of how I got involved in the creative space and when I took my craft seriously in the industry started when I attended Northern Illinois University in 2013. Moreover, I wanted to become a football player during my tenure there but politics got in the way which ended my sports career. The following year later, I was introduced to this new modeling organization on the Campus of NIU during the fall season of 2014 by one of the mentors “Jacob Clayton” who by the way is now a big-time Professional Wardrobe Stylist and Influencer. The Modeling Organization is called ‘Embrace Models” and it was founded in 2o12 by a big-time Professional Published Female Model “Aubri Ebony.” Furthermore, after I was introduced to this organization, I went to the Informational to learn about the basics of becoming a model and the rest was history. Since then, I’ve been in numerous Fashion Shows and published in many International Fashion Magazines.
Next, in addition to me being a Published Male Model, I wanted to expand to other areas which I ultimately ended up doing dating back to 2020. During the 2020 lockdown phase, I wanted to embark on my author journey, I released my first book the following year later and it is called “God is Behind Me” and is an Autobiography book. I released it on my Birthday on October 30th which is available on Amazon. Now in 2023, I released my second book called “The Mind of the Melanated One’ which came out on New Year’s day. This book is also available now on Amazon and Google Play Books.

In Addition, I also started a Luxury Shoe Company that’s based in the Chicago land area called “Black Royal Elites” and its been in the works for 3 years now and the journey has been worth it, Next, the thing that sets me apart from other creatives is I’m always of ahead of time and very meticulous on what I’m putting together to present to the world. I’m proud of all my work because everything is not rushed and I’m put my heart and soul to it, Quality over Quanity matters to me. I want everyone to know is that i completed most of these projects in a 3 year span.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative individual has the feeling and initiative to turn a dream into a reality. Most importantly, I’m reaping my rewards while pursuing what I do. Furthermore, being creative brings me peace because it’s a world where I can finally be myself, express my emotions & heal naturally through, and most importantly, not be limited to a box or one-dimensional,
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Honestly, as far as what society can do to best support artists, creatives, and a thriving creative ecosystem pretty much show the same energy and love just when we do bigger brands or celebrities. Its plenty of room for everyone to eat, so let’s not be a gatekeeper to each other and keep supporting. The more we do, the closer we can get to the promised land.
