Hi Tikresha, thanks for joining us today. We love asking folks what they would do differently if they were starting today – how they would speed up the process, etc. We’d love to hear how you would set everything up if you were to start from step 1 today
If I were to start over what I would do differently would be investing more without having fear of failing, I would push myself more and promote myself more I also would take more criticism from more people that are entrepreneurs.
Tikresha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Tikresha Warren i am a hairstylist, entrepreneur and influencer. I started my hairstylist journey when I graduated high school in 2013. I attended Wayne State University for 2 years. I struggled making a living and trying to stay focused to chase my dreams of being a social worker. My second year of school my biggest blessing came into my life my daughter Cloe, I then left campus to start my new life as a mother. I did not know where my life was going but I knew I had blessed hands so I took that talent and started pushing myself, I went from one client to 20 to just unbelievable numbers, as I tell everyone I truly know it was God. Once my daughter was 1 years old she was diagnosed with epilepsy a seizure disorder. She went through things I would have never imagined and that is when I became determined to give us the best life. I begin doing hair sun up till sun down and even though I didn’t get that major for social work, my clients really made me still feel like a therapist lol. I helped so many people overcome insecurities and so much more, it was more than being a hairstylist my clients became my family. Around 2020 I decided to start my business Cloe Cosmetics LLC. I started my business for my daughter because with her going through what she does I want to start getting her future ready . We started off selling lip gloss, edge bands lashes and bonnets. We became successful doing that then later on 2023 we started selling Lace glue and melting spray. 2024 we then sold Lace glue, melting spray, edge bands , lashes, shampoo, conditioner hair oil and much more. We are in 2 beauty supplies, JJs Beauty Supply 12324 E Warren Ave and Lee Beauty 15 mile and Fraser. What sets me apart from everyone else is my drive, determination and purpose. Everything I’m doing is to give my family the best life possible. I’m so proud of the elevation and determination I have, no matter what came my way I never gave up, always keep the faith trust God and trust the process. I am now located at The Vanity Room Salon 2 on Kelly Road I have a private suite to service my clients. Come check us out I hope this could help motivate you guys god bless
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
One day I took a step out on faith and I went into a local beauty supply by my house to shoot my shot to sale my products. I took some of my products up there and talked to the owner I was so scared of rejection I gave them my social media account and in a few days they called and said we would love to have your products, and guess what I have now been with them for 2 years
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What I think helped build my reputation it would be my clients support. My clients speak so highly of me. So many people come to me and say I always hear good things about you. I treat people the way I wanna be treated and that has got me far.
