We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful TiJon Bell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with TiJon below.
TiJon, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I grew up in a early 2000s East,West Oakland and Richmond, i grew up around hip hop everywhere I moved and created my first song with my uncle Fmg geazy and after that I began making my own songs. Though during the years I began to get in lots of altercations and issues had cause me to stop making music for a while but recently 2022 I began making my new music sounding different wit my new style and rap about my past and what I go through. I learned how to go through with this music from the people around me but I linked up with Curlyheadrobb and DDub and we together created the Rap group B.T.D. Space80seven is also a big factor giving me some game on how to get into the professional side of the Music game using my resources and knowledge learned to drop music for people to feel and enjoy.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My inspiration for doing what I do is trying to get my family and my peoples out into a good living space But also connect with fans and to build not just a fan base but a family. I do what’s best not only for me but everyone that rocks wit me, what sets me apart from others is I don’t hate I let people do them I’m just focused on getting better mentally,
taking care of my family and getting money.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I would’ve had a high quality microphone and good equipment but you just have to keep going no matter what you go through if you have love for what you do it isn’t work and if you work hard and get to your best upgrade your equipment and work with your craft you can achieve anything when you put the work and time into it.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I didn’t have the best equipment I worked with what I had i had a good run until my sudden stop to music after certain events took place and I had to take all of my time and energy away from the music. But still during the process I still was writing music but never gave the time to record any songs let alone finishing songs.
