Alright, Tii thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We love asking folks what they would do differently if they were starting today – how they would speed up the process, etc. We’d love to hear how you would set everything up if you were to start from step 1 today

I would take my time and not try and rush into being the best Ana I would’ve bought more affordable products.

My brand SugarScrub DeTroit was founded in 2019 after I decided I would come back to doing nails full time. My brand is all about making people feel as beautiful as possible! I most proud of my ability to do amazing work at an affordable price and my clients love everything from price to the quality services received.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

So I started off playing around with nails 12 years ago. I never took it serious as I was interested in doing hair. But while I was learning nails I learned from techniques I had seen while getting my nails done and just practicing with myself. So I had to unlearn a lot of techniques and procedures that I taught myself. I went to a Cosmology school for Manicuring and had to relearn incorrect procedures etc…

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

To build reputation you need a large following and great work! The more confidence you have in yourself and your work will push you to get it seen. The more you advertise and get your work out there the more people will begin to notice you. All show your support to others and it will be returned to you.
