We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Wright recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany , appreciate you joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
My journey began with a deep-rooted passion for sports. The lessons learned on the field not only shaped my approach to life’s challenges but also defined my relationships with others and myself. The process of watching a G.O.A.T., meticulously researching, and taking actionable steps became ingrained in my psyche. It was a journey defined by dedication, hard work, and the pursuit of excellence.
Transitioning from the sports arena to the business world, I found parallels in the principles of success. Here’s how I navigated from idea to execution:
Observation: Like studying the best in sports, I observed the G.O.A.T.s in my chosen industry.
Research: I delved into the journeys of those who paved the way, identifying unique visions and necessary skills.
Practice: Transitioning from planning to action, I embraced learning through experience, embracing mistakes, failures, and wins.
Teamwork: Recognizing that success is a collaborative effort, I leaned on my support network to move towards my goals.
Action: Just as in sports, winning in business demands readiness for action, failure, recalibration, and relentless pursuit.
Celebration: Amidst the hustle, celebrating victories – big or small – became integral to maintaining joy and momentum.
This six-step process became my guiding light, propelling me forward in both my real estate business and the launch of my nonprofit. Reflecting on my journey, I realized the innate systems and processes I had developed, honed over time through trial and error.
When I embarked on establishing my nonprofit, The Magnolia Resource, the journey was arduous but immensely rewarding. The labor of love and dedication led us through moments of triumph and setbacks. Launching just weeks before the pandemic, we encountered unexpected challenges. Yet, guided by my tried-and-true process, we found our footing amidst uncertainty.
Today, as I navigate this new chapter with my coach, I am reminded of the importance of continuous recalibration. My annual ritual of revisiting the six steps ensures alignment with my goals and values. Through the nonprofit, witnessing the impact firsthand – from delighted children at our events to heartfelt testimonials from grateful families – reaffirms the purpose behind our endeavors.
Though the journey has been filled with twists and turns, I am grateful for the lessons learned and the growth achieved. With unwavering determination and the guiding principles of my six-step process, I forge ahead, eager to make a difference in every chapter of my journey.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In the ever-evolving journey of life and business, there are moments when the unexpected throws us off course. As someone who thrives on planning and goal-setting, I’ve learned firsthand that the path to success is rarely linear. Instead, it’s dotted with moments that demand adaptability and resilience.
One such pivotal moment came when external factors beyond my control disrupted my carefully laid plans. Whether it was navigating personal challenges like the loss of a loved one or external factors such as economic shifts, each instance forced me to confront the reality that sometimes, life doesn’t adhere to our timelines.
In these moments of upheaval, I recognized the need for strategic recalibration. Instead of stubbornly clinging to a predefined path, I embraced the opportunity to reassess my goals and priorities. I asked myself tough questions: What aspects can I control? How can I leverage my strengths to navigate this new terrain? What opportunities lie beyond the obstacles in my path?
Recalibration became my guiding principle – a deliberate shift in perspective that empowered me to adapt, innovate, and forge a new path forward. It was a journey of self-discovery and resilience, where every setback became an opportunity for growth and transformation.
Through strategic recalibration, I discovered the power of flexibility and resilience in the face of adversity. It taught me that true success isn’t just about achieving predefined goals, but about embracing the twists and turns of the journey with grace and determination.
In hindsight, these moments of pivot were not setbacks, but rather springboards for growth and evolution. They reminded me that the journey to success is not a straight line, but a series of recalibrations that ultimately lead us closer to our true purpose and potential.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
My most effective strategy for growing my clientele revolves around authentic relationship-building. Through personalized “touch campaigns,” such as hosting events and distributing thoughtful gifts like locally handcrafted ornaments and unique holiday treats, I prioritize creating meaningful connections. By consistently nurturing these relationships, I’ve found that my clientele naturally expands as individuals are drawn to the genuine care and warmth of our interactions.
