We recently connected with Tiffany Villarreal and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I want my legacy to be one of heart, purpose, and presence. Through custom jewelry crafted for women across the world, I’ve poured love into pieces that carry stories, healing, and strength. I hope I’ve touched many lives and healed many hearts through this business. Most have known true love through motherhood and the sacrifices that come from it. I’ve shown my children that fulfillment doesn’t come from following a conventional path, but from building something meaningful with passion and integrity. Most importantly, I’ve led with God at the center of my world. I hope I have been demonstrating that success is not measured by titles or hours clocked, but by the love we give and the lives we touch along the way.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi! I’m Tiffany, and I’m the heart, hands, and soul behind Milky Way Breastmilk Jewelry. I’m not a big company or a production team, I’m just one woman, one mother, working out of my home studio to help other moms preserve the most meaningful moments of their journey.
Milky Way started with my own story. I had three breastfeeding journeys full of ups and downs, tears and triumphs. There were days I felt like a superhero, and days I wanted to give up. But every drop, every snuggle, every feeding—whether hard-won or easy—became part of a story I didn’t want to forget.
I created my first breastmilk keepsake out of that desire: to hold on to a part of that season before it slipped away. I didn’t expect it to move me the way it did. And once I saw what it meant to me, I knew I wanted to offer that same gift to other mothers—keepsakes for mothers who had lived through their own beautiful, challenging, incredible stories.
Some moms want to honor the journey: the long nights, the sacrifices, the physical and emotional commitment that breastfeeding demands.
Some are closing a chapter: maybe their baby has weaned, or maybe it didn’t go the way they’d hoped, but they still want to remember the love that was poured out in every feeding.
Some moms are celebrating a hard-earned victory: maybe they overcame low supply, tongue ties, or pumping at work to keep going one more day.
And, some are grieving: for a child they lost, for a journey that ended too soon, for a version of motherhood they longed for but didn’t get.
This kind of keepsake isn’t just about the milk—it’s about preserving the meaning behind it. It’s about saying, “This mattered.” It’s about holding on to a moment in time that changed you forever. Keepsakes for mothers like this are tangible proof that you gave, you endured, you loved. And that matters more than most people will ever understand. I’m honored to work with you to create your most cherished piece of jewelry.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There was a time when my entire social media presence—the heart of my business—was taken from me. My account was hacked, and just like that, I lost all my followers, all my content, and the main platform I used to connect with my community and grow my brand. It felt like everything I had built was gone in an instant. But I didn’t give up. I fought relentlessly for over a year and a half to reclaim what was mine, while also starting over from scratch to keep my business alive. Getting my page back up and running was more than a victory—it was a testament to my resilience. That experience taught me how to lead with grit, adapt through uncertainty, and never let temporary setbacks define my journey. I knew my business was something meaningful that I couldn’t just give up on.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
I started my business in the most unconventional, heart-driven way—while teaching full-time. What began as a small passion project quickly grew into something far greater. During my lunch breaks, I’d meet local moms in the school parking lot, where they’d hand off their breastmilk in exchange for what I lovingly called “milk money.” At the time, I didn’t have the preservation process perfected, and many of the first pieces I made—pieces that held deep meaning for these women—ended up turning a funky color. I was devastated. But instead of walking away or making excuses, I stayed up for weeks researching, experimenting, and refining until I got it right. Once I cracked the formula, I remade every single flawed piece, unprompted. That honesty and commitment struck a chord. Those women not only appreciated it—they shared their stories and their jewelry with others. Word spread, and suddenly what was once a side hobby began to grow into a full-time calling. I only taught for one year before I realized I couldn’t juggle both. Now, I have the privilege of doing what I love every day—creating meaningful keepsakes for women all over the world—while also homeschooling my kids and showing them firsthand what it looks like to build something beautiful from scratch.
