We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Stewart recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

I prayed about the name of my company. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to be known for and the difficult business lessons I had learned before I started this business. I remember playing with different names in my head, and as soon as I landed on BirthWrite, I knew that was it! I’m a poet by nature, so in many ways, most of what I say has a deeper meaning, intentional or subconscious. I had learned a critical lesson about value earlier that year, particularly my value, which forever changed my life. Where I had once carried the limiting belief that I had to earn or prove my worth, I began to understand my value is inherent. I’m valuable. I was born valuable, and I am worthy of good things. Abundance is my birthright. I was born with the privilege of deserving the very best. Walking into that knowledge was a game changer for me. The name also has a biblical reference for me, as I wanted to honor God that way. He gave me the idea, the many gifts I have, and I intend to give Him all of the Glory.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I started my writing journey by simply writing. After releasing a book of poetry, it became clear what my gift was and how I wanted to share it with the world. I followed the poetry with a book, and the rest is history. I consider myself and my team experts in writing, but we also have a heart for it. What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Underpromise and overdeliver. In business, it can be challenging as you navigate and scale to make your dream reality but always operate in excellence. Do this every time as if you are serving your first client or your highest-paying client. A good name goes a long way. Many people have talent that gets them to places where their integrity can’t keep them. Don’t be that person. Move with integrity. Relationships have significantly contributed to my success, and my reputation backs that up. People know when they work with me, they are in store for a beautiful experience.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

It’s important to state that I didn’t use any capital to start my business. I didn’t have any investors or funding. Technically, all you need to get started in my industry is a laptop. However, as someone who provides grant writing services to companies that need a lot of capital, many people and organizations rely too heavily on grant money. As I am scaling my business to 7 figures, I have found that service providers, in particular, must get long-term contracts specifically from corporations, either private or government. You can use the awards to build your revenue and hire a team. I also suggest having a product that creates passive income. I write grants and have a book on winning funding that people can purchase.
