We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Scott Tahir Byrd recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany Scott, thanks for joining us today. Before we talk about all of your success, let’s start with a story of failure. Can you open up about a time when you’ve failed?

We have 2 stories we can tell of feeling like a complete failure

To start, the first year we tried to the do our own event in the Bahamas! Exciting right? We began doing paid promotion for the event. We were very excited and just started telling people near us that we were doing an event in the Bahamas. We proceeded to put the event on event bright and planned the event accordingly a few months in advance. Weeks went by. We began to notice tickets were not selling and the paid promotion was not hitting, at all. A month away, closer to the date we still didn’t sell any tickets for the event.

Eventually we had to let everyone know that we were going to cancel the event. We were very sad about it. Not only did we spend money on preparing for it but we also felt embarrassed because we told everyone around us. It was a big opportunity but it didn’t pay off. We felt very foolish because we told everyone and had to tell them we won’t be able to make it.

So fast forward to year 2 of the heavenly services & Gifts Co.. Tiffany began looking for events and only one amazing company responded but guess what?! The event was located in Los Angeles, California while we lived in Philadelphia. The event was a fashion show so we didn’t really know how it will go but kept our hope high. So at the time of the interview we honestly didn’t have the money to go, at all! They gave us a price and we prayed about it. We knew if we was meant to go GOD will provide the funds. The money for our spot was due a few months before the event and we also had to sign a contract. We prayed and proceeded to sign the contract. Then we felt very nervous the week of the due date, so we emailed them and asked if we could have until Friday instead. Mean while GOD did open a financial door but the Funds were not available yet. So the actual due date came and guess what! We were able to pay for our spot, airplane tickets, and supplies for event . We saw how much money we needed to make in order to make a profit, and it was alot. We proceeded with faith that we would succeed.

Fast forward, we got to the event and the fashion show was amazing. We met some cool people and even got a few sells. A down fall was it was a good amount of time where we kept being told to be quiet when during recording which was times potential clients came to the table. Tiffany was even able to do an in-person reading(not using cards) which was a major plus! We made a nice amount of money but it wasn’t even close to the amount we spent. When the event ended those who interacted with us let us know how much they enjoyed what we had to offer. It felt very good to know that we had a positive impact.

After we got to back to the airbnb we blamed ourselves harshly for the loss. Tiffany just cried her heart out while Tahir also sat in dissapointment. We truly appreciated them for giving us the opportunity and still truly do. It was just really hard on us and we just felt like failures. What was it that we could’ve done differently, Maybe if we were outside instead of inside? Who knows.

We now can look at both experiences and be grateful for them because without taking that step of faith we wouldn’t had seen that failing is just another way of rising up from the ground level. The elevator must go up agian. It just has too.

Tahir specializes in helping clients rid themselves of energetic blockages and heal spiritual or physical ailments via Reiki Energy Healing. Furthermore, our house cleansing services that we offer are also a big hit. We help people cleanse unclean spirits that are reeking havoc in their lives. A lot of people are totally unaware of the unseen spiritual forces that try to prevent us from achieving our greatest potential on a daily basis. So we offer tools that you can use to protect yourself and enhance the quality of your life. In our shop we offer our hand made Crystal jewelry, orgonite, enchanted oils, scrubs, smudging tools and much more on the way. All of these items were created to protect and uplift the user in ways that they might not be able to do consciously. We bring a different kind of energy when working together. We are a powerful force of healing and change to those we have and will work with.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

After a year of starting Heavenly S&G co. We needed a social media page. So we created our page on instagram and started following people, we kept monthly goals and celebrated when we met them. For 2 years we was worked on our Instagram and growing slowly but surely reached a little over 800.

We didn’t mind the slow growth because for us most of our clients we met in person.

But one day that all changed!

We downloaded a unfollowing app not know what would happen next!

We got locked out of our account and seen the email was connected to an email we don’t own and the phone number, no longer in service.

After contacting IG no one ever responded to any of our emails to help us get our page back.

Our hearts broke, all the hard work, all the post, all the connections. Lost. Just like that!

We made a decision that we would start a new page under @heavenlyservices444 and if you would like daily encouragement to please follow that page.

We just made the commitment to instead of putting our jewelry and other creations out there at the forefront we decided to put ourselves because we are the face of the business.

Doing that actually helped us grow so much faster than our last page which felt like a struggle to even get to 100 followers.

This all was just 6 weeks ago as of the date this article posted. We are still pushing to grow but just so grateful on how fast this growth was compared too our old page.

This was definitely a huge pivotal moment for us and we are still in shock about starting over. But we just have to roll with the punches and know we truly want this business to succeed. Love, Heavenly Services & Gifts Co.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

“Let’s do a goal of 6 events this year!” Said Tiffany in 2021. “Okay” said Tahir. We than started our journey doing events in states including Maryland, California & Pennsylvania. Only still having 5 events down after loosing our car, and other life happenings, even really not having the funds.

We didn’t see it happening. In November 2021 Tiffany just knew she needed to complete the goal she set for the business. We just needed 1 more event under our belt to reach our goal! She would say time and time again. Right after receiving some random extra funds we were like this is it we need to find an event. And we did and noticed the event was on December 31st of 2021.

At the time we only had enough to pay for the spot. Not really enough to get there but we knew were GOD guides, he will provide. Isaiah 48:11. So we kept planning and at the last week of the year more funds came in and we was able to make it to the event on public transportation. After getting ready Tahir’s friend randomly came over to pick up his bracelet he bought from us them we asked him if he could drop us off. He said yes! At the event the owners even shouted us out for our resilience because they knew of our goal! Then when leaving the event on New Year’s Day we had to take public transportation with the table and all of our equipment. The train we were able to get on was free that night for us, than we needed to take the bus. We were standing at the bus stop for about 20 minutes no bus came yet. Then Tahir’s other friend drove by us as he saw us waiting for the bus!

We kept going and GOD kept providing, our resilience to not let nothing stop us not even the lack of money is something we can always be proud of! What a way to bring in the new year! THANKS GOD!
