Hi Tiffany S. , thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

The story behind my mission, I’ve dealt with grief on a large scale not only personally, but within the insurance industry as a broker overall. During the pandemic several families have dealt with grief, not only through the loss of a loved one, but loss of marriage, loss of job, even loss of our daily routine in life. When delivering hope, I wanted to create a timeless resource that couldn’t expire. While starting this journey, I began to speak on a topic, that wasn’t so bright, by delivering hope in a form of a book. Broken: Seven Steps to Healing While Grieving will teach you:•How to effectively deal with grief in your life•Steps to overcome grief and live victoriously•The effects of grief•The benefits of the grieving process•The importance of a support system while grieving•How people grieve differentlyBroken will open up your understanding about grief and guide you through the grieving process step by step. It will assist you while you are going through the most difficult time of your life. You will explore the different aspects of the grieving process, and learn how to become whole again and walk in victory. The resources that God help me create not only delivers healing, but hope too! Upon this mission, my goal is to inspire each individual I come across in this lifetime.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

During the pandemic, the world had to pivot & in return every entrepreneur had too as well. My business went from being in person to virtual overnight, in business adjusting to the new standards is a must to continually grow. I’m very personal when it comes to business, because I want every client to feel like I gave them the very best. Therefore going totally to virtual meetings, seem complicated at first, but soon we adjusted, by implementing innovative ways to keep business going! In return I created a podcast to reach not just a local audience but it has went international as well! Pivoting can be very uncomfortable, but change is essential in business & life overall.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

When I was ten years old, I became severely ill with “Spinal Bacteria Meningitis. By the time my grandparents made it to the hospital, I was blind & paralyzed. I heard the doctors saying they don’t think I’m going to make it, I went into a coma for 21 days. I loss a little time in this life, but I receive it all back. I couldn’t remember anything, not even how to read. At 10 learning how to read again, was pretty tough. In the fifth grade I not only learn how to read again, I won the schools spelling bee that year. Their days I want to give up, but I remember that little girl, she persevere, she was resilient & she is still me!
