Tiffany, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
The Pink Sugar Box was created in July of 2020, shortly after the pandemic was announced. The company was created after I was let go from my 14 year executive position in corporate America. While I do believe everything happens in it timing, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit even as young as 10. Growing up I had started numerous businesses from selling lemonade, clothing, shoes, etc. I always had that business owner IT thing.
Had I started the Pink Sugar box sooner, I do believe it would have been premature. The life and business skills I needed to learn prior to my 14 year executive position were pivotal in my success as a business owner. I don’t think I would have wanted to start sooner or later. I truly believe it happened on time.

The Pink Sugar Box is a subscription that’s delivered based on the customer choice, this can be monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly.
The Pink Sugar Box offers 5 premium lifestyle & self care items products for just $15. Our quality trendy picks for each season, include products such as lifestyle, fun fashion accessories, footwear and beauty products.
Our company came about in the height of the pandemic. We wanted to remind women that they too must take care of themselves, while taking caring of the home and working from home. There was also an increase in women quitting their jobs to take care of their children at home or women who were fired because businesses couldn’t afford to pay them. This is why our boxes price point is so affordable. We didn’t want to leave anyone out! We felt this was a product all women could use and making it affordable would give them the guilt free feeling of receiving such a fun gift for themself.
Most of our reviews come from women who are in love with the products at the price point. It really is like celebrating your birthday and we all deserve to smile each time we receive a Pink Sugar box!



What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Don’t take it personal!
The first time we had someone cancel their description we were devastated. It’s like a dagger in your heart. The thoughts of what they thought about your product ran through my mind, how could we make it better? What could we have done differently.
I have learned that people aren’t going to stay forever, but one of the things you cannot do is harp on the fact someone left, because someone else will come and someone else will leave. It’s the nature of business ownership. So I had to unlearn and teach my team, that when someone leaves it’s ok. It’s our goal to give our subscriber the best customer service.
So, now when someone unsubscribes, we express how much we appreciate them and thanks them for trying us out and we let them know they are welcomed back anytime.


Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
The Pink Sugar box is not only sold on our website www.thepinksugarbox.com, but we can also be found on sites like Amazon and Cratejoy.
We’ve chosen to expand our reach this is why we decided to sell on these platforms. Each platform has its pro and cons. While selling on Amazon there are still some customizable features for subscriptions that aren’t available. The back end of the site is a bit more clunky then a direct website platform, even if your a techy like myself.
Cratejoy, understand our business model so they have pretty much everything we need. The monthly and transaction fees are a bit higher, but they do have an audience that most likely wouldn’t have found us on their own.
And, our own website was perfect for when we started, because we didn’t know about the other platforms until later. With our own website we were able to customize everything as we wanted.
