We recently connected with Tiffany Riley and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany, appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I took a risk by quitting a secure job that was just okay, to start my own business as a certified personal trainer (my lifelong passion.)
I began by studying nightly after my day at work to get my personal training certification. I am a mom to 4 children, so It definitely was a trying time, which came with many sacrifices. I quit my job after the school year was complete and started taking both online and in person clients.
This turned out to be a life changing decision for the better.
The risk was definitely scary, but so worth following my passion in life.

Tiffany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a mom of four who got into fitness after the birth of my son 17 years ago. I continue to learn and grow and competed in some bodybuilding competitions. I learned that competitions were not something I enjoyed so went on to work at different Expos in the fitness industry I found myself helping others along my journey and really enjoyed watching their lives change in so many great ways both physically and mentally
I now offer customize online training for home and gym as well as training people in person. I believe what sets me apart from others is my approach to dieting. Using flexible dieting methods, As well as being able to work with a wide variety of clients dealing with different issues.
I am extremely proud of watching my clients transform both physically and mentally. To watch their health go from awful to healthy once again is pretty amazing. Watching them grow in the gym lifting heavier weights as well as watching their aches and pains disappear. I love to see their confidence grow.
Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
I definitely think that 17 years of being in the gym has has helped me succeed in my field. I also feel that exposing myself to many different sides of the fitness world has helped too. During competitions I would have to learn what would work best for me to get ready and diet down and get my program perfected before stepping on stage. Learning from my failures was one of the greatest things.
Now that I’ve been training clients for a few years, word of mouth from my current slash past clients has definitely helped me succeed.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Once again, my own 17 years plus training in and out of the gym has helped my reputation grow within my market. Next would definitely be my clients sharing their results and people seeing my client’s health change.
