We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Poles recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
In order to be successful you have to try something you’ve never done. Go some places you have never gone. Speak life into visions you wish were reality. Many of my greatest accomplishments came with not only taking a risk, but God exceeding my expectations. I always had a dream of braiding Allen Iversons hair. I spoke it for the first time when I was in 10th grade to anyone who would listen. I remember crying like a baby when he cut his hair. Him soon after growing his hair back revived my hope of one day achieving my goal. Twenty years to the first time I declared it a loud I received the call he needed his hair braided. I was overjoyed with the opportunity. God saw something bigger and better than my dream. Not only did I braid his hair, that day I became his personal braider. Still going strong five years later. Often times no means, not right now. Not only am I the favorite braider to the G.O.A.T. Himself I have also been blessed to braid over 70 professional athletes. The list continues to grow. If it is in your heart to achieve it keep striving to accomplish it. Bet on your self, this time might be your big win!!!
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
The best advice I can give when managing a team is knowing your self first. Being able to acknowledge both your strengths and weakness. Areas of improvement that could make or break your business. I am an encourager a supporter. I lead by example in my actions. I am not a disciplinarian. I am horrible at being the “bad guy” when it came to holding my team accountable when expectations were not met. My lack of enforcement caused my team to crumble at one point. Being the nice and always understanding boss hurt my business. Having a leadership team and delegation of areas I lacked, would have changed the overall success of my first salon. Lesson Learned.
