I aim to leave a positive impact on other women, supporting them in both their self-love journey and business growth. My dedication involves consistently offering positive perspectives and encouragement to help them navigate in the right direction, reflecting my genuine and caring nature. I envision being remembered as someone authentic, humble, always laughing, and deeply committed to the success and well-being of others.

My desire is to be recalled as someone who consistently rooted for the victories of others, emphasizing collaboration and uplifting those in the community. Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am the founder of a fashion and boudoir photography business and also a swimwear designer. My journey into this industry began in February 2020 when I initially viewed it as a creative outlet and a side gig. However, God had different plans, leading me to bring women together for meaningful connections, inspiring conversations, and a safe space to share life stories. Little did I anticipate that my photography business would evolve into a community of women connecting with each other.

While I have explored various styles of photography, my passion has grown for fashion, boudoir, and assisting other female entrepreneurs in enhancing their online presence. Having experienced the challenges of entrepreneurship firsthand, I bring a deep understanding of the mental strength required to persevere in this demanding journey. With the business growth, I made the decision to fully commit to my businesses, parting ways with the corporate world.

One of my proudest achievements is making a positive impact on women, creating a supportive environment during photoshoot sessions. My clients come with reasons for their shoots, from healing after a heartbreak, surviving cancer, growing their own businesses, rediscovering femininity energy, to rebuilding their sense of self. What truly sets me apart is the foundation of my business, rooted in faith, and the authenticity of my team – women dedicated to serving and supporting, my team sets the tone for the unique atmosphere of my business.

My brand is a representation of women on their journey to reconnect with themselves and showcase their unique gifts and talents. It stands for women filled with substance, hope, faith, and inner beauty. Each photoshoot and swimwear design is a celebration of their divine qualities and strength, embodying the essence of my brand.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

Yes, my side hustle transformed into my main and full-time business, in which the journey has been both challenging and filled with gratitude. It all began as a creative outlet alongside my finance career. It all began as a creative outlet alongside my career in finance. What started as a part-time side hustle quickly gained traction, and I found myself committing most of my time and energy, every penny from my corporate paycheck into building the business.

One of the key turning points in the growth of my business was the realization that I needed additional support to manage the client demand. This led to the decision to hire an assistant and stylist. With their assistance, I gained time to focus on other aspects of the business, such as social media promotion and a complete rebranding of my website. These steps were pivotal in elevating the brand and expanding.

The continuous reinvestment of every client payment back into the business was a strategy – despite momentarily limiting personal income. This approach allowed me to enhance memorable experiences to clients with branding gifts/extra client touches.

The decision to turn a passion into a business, to the hires of business expansion, and the consistent financial reinvestment for growth. Today, my business stands as a testament to not allow fear of the unknown to fill our mind, but to pursue the God-given gifts and talents assigned to us. This required true commitment, strategic investment, and dedication. It has not only become my main source of income, but a platform which I celebrate the unique qualities and strengths of the other women I work with, creating a community and brand that resonates with authenticity and women empowerment.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Building my reputation within my market was staying true to myself and focusing on my own lane. I focused on embracing my own individuality and personality, and recognized that authenticity attracts the right clientele.

An element in this process was taking the time to deeply understand my own values and what I stand for. I am dedicated to women empowerment and the celebration of feminine energy, a focus that resonates authentically with my brand. From my years of experience in the professional corporate world, I honed the skills needed to interact with diverse clients, contributing to the versatility of my business.

I place a significant emphasis on branding, understanding that every “yes” to a client is an opportunity for them to share their experience. I continually ask myself, “What would I appreciate in a photography service?” This mindset helped me exceed the expectations of my clients, contributing positively to my reputation.

My commitment to stay firm on my foundation, a deep understanding of my values, and a focus on women empowerment have built my reputation within the market. By staying true to my principles and consistently showing who I am as an individual, showed a positive perception that resonates with both my brand and the experiences clients look for.
