We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiffany Molina. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiffany below.
Alright, Tiffany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Have you ever seen (or implemented) a really awesome way to show a client you appreciate them
The best thing I’ve ever done in relation to showing my clients I appreciate them has been to show up. To show up prepared and engaged for every session I book; to show up when invited to functions and events outside our tattoo session, to show up for any conversations if they reach out needing to speak to me. To show up for myself when it’s hard daily. To show up and put myself to work, learning and growing. Showing up, for myself and my clients, every day.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m tif. tif Molina now, after marrying my best friend last year; but for a long time i was Tif Bea. I’m a tattoo artist and so got started by FORCING my way into a male dominated industry with perseverance and determination. Having gone to cancer treatment and been in hospice care for my rare cancer diagnosis put me in the path of Paramedical tattooing, which opened up a lot of doors and opportunities to grow myself in traditional tattooing as well. After winning best paramedical tattoo services in the phoenix Valley 3 years in a row for AZ Foothills magazine, I was hired at Club Tattoo and my career has just flourished. I am truly blessed to get to work with amazing artists and incredible clients wanting such interesting and creative work.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think being accessible. Most artists are rather hard to get in with, or don’t really engage with their clients; not for nothing but that “elitist” sorta attitude, it never was for me. I’ve always been able to connect with my clients on a personal level, causing such incredible retention and repetition in my clientele base. I’m lucky to have clients coming to me for ten tattoos as equally often as they do for just one.
Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
Sure can. i think my free “I am enough” tattoos might’ve been one of my best strategies. They were meant as a literal mental health exercise. This is where I offer the tattoo “I am enough” for completely free to anyone in need of it. No payment or tip is required. I’ve been offering this service since 2020, right in the midst of the pandemic and I truly think it’s helped so many people. It also didn’t hurt in getting my name out there.
