We recently connected with Tiffany Jones and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
Social media has been an invaluable asset to my business, as it’s the primary source of new clients outside of word of mouth. While I currently manage all of my social media pages myself, my ultimate goal is to monetize everything and build a strong foundation where I can trust others to manage my following without compromising my brand. Maintaining a clean page that aligns with my brand and services is crucial, and that’s why I’m always on the lookout for bots and people who don’t fit my target audience. To increase my visibility and engagement, I’ve started running ads and posting more reels to showcase my work ethic and practices, even when I make mistakes. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that consistent posting is key to maintaining visibility and attracting new clients. If I could offer one piece of advice to other business owners, it would be to know your market and audience so you can target those specific people and build a strong client base.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hey there! I’m Tiffany Jones, and I’m a Lakeland, FL native who was adopted into a beautiful family at the age of 4. I’m grateful every day that God chose me to be a part of this wonderful family. I’m not one to shy away from a challenge, and that’s why I pursued my passion for photography despite having a background in sports during my early years. My dad, Kenneth Jones, was instrumental in sparking my interest in photography, and since then I have never looked back. I started practicing with my first digital camera after graduating from high school and quickly realized that I had found my calling. I’m proud to say that I am a self-taught photographer, and I pursued graphic design and arts at Keiser University, graduating in 2016 with an Associate of Science degree. This was a significant milestone for me, and it gave me the confidence to start my own photography business.
I understand that fear can be a major obstacle for many people, but I have always believed that the key to success is to keep moving forward, even when things seem stagnant. Over the past four years, I have grown my clientele significantly and have been able to capture countless memories for my clients. Photography allows me to meet new people, build relationships, and create lasting memories. I’m proud of what I have achieved so far, and I’m excited to see where my journey takes me next.
When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside, and dancing. If you want to check out my portfolio, you can find me on Instagram and Facebook at tifphotographylkld. So, if you want to capture some beautiful memories that you can cherish for a lifetime, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m confident that I can deliver the best results for you! I want to thank God and my family for believing in me.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Hey there! I just wanted to share with you one of the most memorable moments of my life. It was when I attended the Swan City Jazz Festival in Lakeland, Florida back in 2023. I met so many amazing jazz artists, but one in particular stood out to me. She was the headliner of the second show, and as soon as I saw her perform, I knew I had to work with her. I believed in myself enough to speak up, and it actually happened!
What’s even more amazing is that I ended up bumping into her a few times after the festival, just casually around the city. Eventually, she even asked me to take some photos of her! It was such an incredible moment for me, and I will always be grateful to Jazmin Ghent for trusting me and giving me that opportunity.
I hope my story can inspire someone out there to never give up on their dreams, no matter how big or small they may seem. Remember, people are always watching and you never know what opportunities might present themselves.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Firstly, I focus on building a strong network of satisfied customers who are happy to refer me to their friends and family. Additionally, I leverage the power of social media to increase my visibility and reach.
Furthermore, I maintain an online presence on Google, which helps potential clients find me easily. And to make it even more convenient for my clients to book my services, I have recently launched my own website.
My ultimate objective is to continuously improve and provide the highest quality service to my clients. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than knowing that I have helped someone achieve their objectives.
