We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tiffany Ealy a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tiffany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
My current book that just came out Rejection A Destiny Stealer : Teen Edition is dear to me because many adults harbor pain from rejection and trauma and things of the past and go into adulthood unhealed. This book was birth from the original version of the book, but it was written with the teens and teen issues in mind. In order to walk in destiny and thrive as an adult healing from trauma and childhood issues is important. This project has meaning because I want to see our teens healing and thriving and not holding on to the past and missising out on destiny.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
After getting let go from a prior job; I got a word from my pastor that I would write books and help many to heal. I had not thought about writing and prayed and God begin to send me downloads and information about my first book. This is how my first book was birth, and I now have five books, candles, motivational t-shirts writng courses and ink pens for writers. I am most proud of following in God’s perfect plan for my life and seeing it manifest, but especially hearing testimonies of healing that takes place from reading my books. My books and brand is about bringing healing to young women and teens that have encountered trauma, and rejection, and helping them to identify the true version and worth within themselves. My brand is about bringing this to pass through books, conferences, teen camps, and motivational talks.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One lesson I had to unlearn was defining myself through what others think or say. It is important that it is detrimental to define yourself by others. It is important to know your value, worth and identity comes from the most high God. One of my biggest quotes that I always say is ” If you don’t know who you are; you will downgrade your worth and live below God’s standards for you life.”
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The most important thing is being authentic and telling your testimony because many will identify with you because of where you have been and how far you have come. We all go through things in life, and we need each other, but we can always be motivated to help others by speaking positive and uplifting others with our words.
