Tiffany , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
Funny you should ask this question. I was traveling for work to India and was moving to the next location and in conversation with another employee I stated our company has us traveling “Coast to Coast”. My companies name morphed into Coastal Travels, “Traveling the world coast to coast”.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve always wanted to travel since I was a little girl. I love new places, new cultural experiences, and foods. I started moving every 5 years as a young adult and have traveled extensively since 2004. I’ve held jobs where working in hospitality would afford me the opportunity to travel as well. Over my career, I have worked for some major brands to help solidify my love for traveling including Marriott, IHG, and Hilton in some capacity.
In 2021, I took the leap of faith to become a Independent Travel Advisor. I have helped numerous families with travel plans, excursions, insurance, airfare, and cruises to name a few. I provide end to end travel experience with groups, seniors, family and solo travel. I help create lifelong memories with travel.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
What helped me build my reputation for travel was posting my travel and doing honest reviews on my travel. Everything was reviewed from the airport, transportation, hotels, food, and tours. People took notice, read the reviews and starting asking me to help them plan trips. My business took off from there..
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth and client reviews has grown my business over the years. I have repeat clients that trust and value my travel expertise which in turn they refer me to others.
