We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Davis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
My parents taught me to be myself no matter what. Embrace all parts of me and to use all the tools I was given in life to put forth my best efforts. No matter the challenges that I’ve faced in life I knew I could overcome them. My parents both came from a very rough upbringing and it taught me to never give up. If they can make a way with less than I had, I can do the same.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My artwork challenges viewers to look past the obvious and see beyond. My goal is to inspire those who view my work to look more credulity at the world around them and to discover all the beauty that can be found not only in nature but within themselves. I work with acrylic and oil paints, creating magic as my brush flows. Every piece tells a part of my untold story. I allow my emotions to guide me. Through my artwork, I try to bring outside in using nature’s beauty. I challenge my viewers to daydream and to become inspired. I offer the experience to come into my world, to view my perspective and let the colors fill your soul.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Staying true to myself. I paint the things that inspire me to grow. Some are challenging but they’ve allowed me to learn along the way. I practice my craft as much as possible and I show my progress and process along the way.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Earlier this year my Instagram page was disabled for something completely out of my control. I had 17K followers so for me it was very stressful and a huge disappointment. I lost my work, videos, client list, and followers. My business declined drastically because social media is where I sold almost all of my artwork. Not to mention it is very depressing starting over when it took me years to get to this place. However I have not given up, it has just taken immense strength and consistency to start making my way back.
