Tiffany , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Crazy stuff happening is almost as certain as death and taxes – it’s technically “unexpected” but something unexpected happening is to be expected and so can you share a crazy story with our readers

So imagine this tag line “From work to welfare to Walmart! One day I am enjoying life as an Administrative Law Judge when suddenly without notice I am let go! I later lost my home I lost my car I ended up filing for bankruptcy! Imagine being the only person on the face of the earth who goes from presiding over unemployment hearings to relying upon an unemployment check. Remembering the days of walking through the Walmart store with nothing but a bridge card in my pocket as I pulled items out of the shopping cart having to decide between what I wanted to eat and what I needed to eat. I always say but God! Thankfully I was able to dust off recipes for body scrubs that I had developed after my daughter was born with eczema. Solely determined to find natural remedies for her skin I never dreamed it would launch into a national skincare line. Until I pitched to Walmart open call and got a yes! Since that time, GLAM body scrubs have landed on store shelves at Walmart, Target, and Stop & Shop stores nationwide!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

G.L.A.M. body scrubs were actually developed in my kitchen in an effort to find natural remedies to treat my daughters eczema! Since that time I’m super proud as we have landed in Target, Walmart, and Stop & Shop stores nationwide! Super proud to also have been featured in Essence, Entrepreneur, Black Enterprise, Sheen, Live in the D! Our products contains no phthalates, no parabens, no animal testing and no mineral oil.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

My journey into entrepreneurship epitomizes resilience. I lost my job I lost my home I lost my car I filed for bankruptcy and ended up all the welfare. Determined not to give up I started a business manufacturing GLAM body scrubs which are now on retail store shelves in Target, Walmart, and Stop & Shop stores nationwide!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

During COVID-19, our business had to pivot because we were no longer able to do any store demos or touch customers or sample products. Have a new skincare line With a motto “to try it is to buy it” this was devastating. I ended up launching a social media campaign called “help a sister out” where I reached out to various entrepreneur groups throughout the country asking for support. Thankfully it was successful and we were able to survive Covid.
