We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tiffany Banks. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tiffany below.
Tiffany, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I’ve always known that I wanted to be part of the beauty industry. From a very young age, I was captivated by all things beauty. One of my earliest inspirations was my grandmother’s makeup vanity. It was always fully stocked with what I considered the finest beauty essentials. From an array of skincare products to beautifully packaged foundations, compacts, lipsticks, and eyeshadows, her collection felt like magic. Sitting at her vanity was one of the highlights of every visit and truly sparked my passion for beauty.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Tiffany Banks, also known as The Texas Beauty Coach—a professional makeup artist, educator, and the founder of Banks Beauty, a luxury beauty brand built on empowerment, confidence, and artistry.
From a very young age, I was drawn to the beauty industry. My earliest memories of makeup go back to sitting at my grandmother’s vanity, mesmerized by her collection of skincare, foundation bottles, eyeshadow palettes, and lipsticks. That space felt magical, and it planted the seed for what would grow into a lifelong passion and purpose.
Over the years, I’ve transformed that childhood curiosity into a full-blown career. I’ve been a freelance makeup artist for over 10 years, working with incredible clients and teaching makeup through virtual lessons, one-on-one sessions, and live masterclasses. My work goes beyond just applying makeup—I help women see themselves differently, feel more confident, and tap into the power that beauty can unlock.
Through Banks Beauty (coming winter 2025),
I’ve curated products and tools designed to make luxury feel approachable—whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned artist. I offer high-quality brushes, palettes, and educational resources that help demystify makeup and teach timeless techniques.
What sets me apart is my deep belief in beauty as a form of confidence coaching. I’m not just here to “make people up”—I’m here to teach, uplift, and help women feel empowered in their own skin. That’s why I call myself a beauty coach.
What I’m most proud of is the impact I’ve been able to make. Seeing a client’s face light up, watching a student nail a technique for the first time, or getting messages from women who feel more beautiful and confident because of something I taught—that’s what fuels me.
For anyone discovering me or my brand for the first time, I want you to know that Banks Beauty isn’t just about products—it’s about purpose. It’s a brand built from love, legacy, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel seen, powerful, and beautiful.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely. My mission is to empower women to see the beauty and confidence that already exists within them—and to use makeup as a tool to help bring that to the surface.
I truly believe that beauty is more than just appearance—it’s about how you feel. My goal is to create experiences, products, and education that not only enhance someone’s outer appearance but also uplift their spirit. Whether I’m teaching a masterclass, doing a client’s makeup, or creating products through my brand Banks Beauty, I’m always focused on one thing: helping women feel powerful, seen, and capable.
At the heart of my creative journey is the belief that makeup is a form of self-expression, self-care, and self-love. That’s what drives everything I do

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is watching someone light up when they see themselves in a new, empowered way. It’s not just about the makeup—it’s about the transformation in how someone feels.
Whether it’s a client getting ready for a major moment or a student finally mastering a technique they once found intimidating, those moments of confidence and joy are everything. Being able to use my creativity to help someone feel beautiful, seen, and valued—that’s the part that never gets old.
As a makeup artist and educator, I get to blend art with emotion. And the impact it has on someone’s self-worth? That’s what makes it so meaningful.
