Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiffany Banks. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tiffany, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
I came up with the name “Tiffany Heals” due to traversing through my own inner healing experience and how transformational it was and has been for me. In the process of acquiring my Reiki and Archangelic Light certifications, there were many life changes happening for me. I was going through separation and divorce, and my children and I moved into the house with my parents, which was initially rocky for all of us. During these changes, I had become undone spiritually and had to work through inner child healing, mother wound healing, looking at where I needed to take accountability, just a plethora of things. It was definitely a phoenix rising moment in my life.
Tiffany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
From childhood I have always had intuitive gifts, however, I didn’t have anyone around me to assist in fostering and nurturing those gifts. While in graduate school (late 20’s) I heard about Reiki and even purchased a cd for Reiki meditations, which I still have yet to listen to to this day. Years later (mid 30’s) I came across Reiki again and had my first healing session in 2017. I then attended a Reiki meetup with my future teacher that same year, which put me on the road to acquiring my Reiki and Archangelic Light certifications. My teacher asked me if I had considered being a medium, and I gave her the bombastic side eye, but she knew then what I had yet to realize. After receiving my Reiki II attunements along with the Archangelic Light entrainments (2017), that’s when the mediumship started to swing into full force. I am a Reiki and Archangelic Light Practitioner and a medium. I also have a BA in psychology and a MS in counseling with a concentration in school counseling (current profession). However, my psychology and school counseling background assist me in how I interact with clients. I am always told that I know how to speak with clients and listen to them. My goal has been and continues to be assisting clients in embracing the unfolding of their own spiritual journey. Its important that the client comes open and receptive, and ready to make the necessary changes in shifting their life. I’m always proud to hear and see the internal shift/healing that clients have done after having a session with me. I’m also proud that I have been chosen as the vessel to assist prospective clients on their journey, which is healing for me.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been social media, events, and friends. I participated in the Black Healer’s Market spearheaded by James E. Stewart of Conjure Cleaning, which assisted me in growing clientele and building relationships with other spiritual practitioners from various walks of life. My friends have mentioned my business and assisted in me gaining clients as well. And social media also assist me in new clientele.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been referrals (word of mouth). I love it because its like a ripple effect and the gift keeps on giving itself. I met a client at an event I offered my services, and from them I have acquired two new clients. There is another client whom due to their referral I have had sessions with 3 of their family members. Every new client I acquire they mention their experience and my services to someone they know, which grants the possibility of another prospective client.
