Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tiffany Ahuna. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tiffany, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
My co-workers & I would joke about starting a business for years. We would brainstorm ideas all day long! At the time we were working in sales & servicing business owners.
A couple years later, I realized that I would never be able to live the life I wanted as an employee. That’s when I became determined to be a business owner. I had no clue what kind of business to start or where to begin, so I started with a list of what I knew I wanted in my first business. For example, starting off solo. I wanted to take a break from management. I was burnt out from motivating & holding others accountable for getting their work done. I only wanted to be responsible for my activity. I wanted to help people & make a difference. I wanted my overhead to be low, the freedom to work from anywhere & I wanted an opportunity to generate unlimited income.
Shortly after making my list, one of my co-workers & close friend, left our company & started a restoration business. I was so happy for her & wanted to know everything! How did she decide to pick that business? Why did she pick that business? When we finally had a chance to talk, she shared that she used a business coach. I was so intrigued! When she described what the coach did, it was exactly aligned with what I wanted to do. Talk about manifesting your dreams!! She connected me with the coach she used & that’s how I made the transition from employee to entrepreneur. I started with buying into a franchise. I went into business for myself, but not by myself. It was the perfect opportunity to learn the ropes of business ownership.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was born & raised in Hawai’i. I went to college in San Diego. My career before business ownership entailed experience with teaching, restaurants, retail, corporate sales, marketing, advertising, management, training & coaching volleyball at the club & varsity level.
I left my corporate job to start my own business in 2011. My first venture started with franchising. It gave me the opportunity to learn business ownership on steroids. Since then, I have ventured on my own & currently run multiple businesses catered to female business owners, who desire to run a Christ-centered business. My parent company is called SGI Business Solutions, LLC. SGI stands for Start, Grow & Improve.
SGI offers a BossBabe4Christ Business Coaching Program, financial services, health & wellness products & one-of-a-kind, elite business tools. SGI specializes in unleashing women in business ownership. Our clients are typically frustrated, feeling overwhelmed, insecure & lack clarity on direction for their business & personal lives. They are desperate for change & wanting a better life, but unsure of what to do. SGI provides women with the tools & system to build an intimate relationship with God, gain clarity on God’s “Big Vision” for their life, implement the habits necessary to achieve their goals. As a result, our clients gain confidence, clarity & a life they love, both personally & professionally.
What sets SGI apart from other business coaches are SGI’s Business Tools, the mentality to “partner” with our clients & the power of prayer which is used throughout every step of the coaching process. SGI’s business tools include (1) SGI’s Business Assessment (2) God’s Power Session Daily Journal (3) The Love & Like Yourself Journal (4 )SGI’s Business Foundation Worksheet (5) SGI’s Goal Setting & Strategic Planning Template (6) SGI’s Daily Tracker (7) EcoBoushie’s Daily Planner & Social Media Planner. There will be more tools available in the near future as well! A “partner mentality” means SGI treats their clients’ businesses as their own. This leads SGI to doing things with & for our clients that most business coaches won’t do. As a business coach, I am constantly praying, thinking & strategizing about my clients’ businesses. Prayer is SGI’s most powerful asset! I pray when I’m prepping for client meetings, during the week & even during our meetings. SGI has been so successful because of God’s wisdom, knowledge, insight & direction.
To summarize what SGI is all about, here’s 7 high level steps of what our clients experience:
1. Initial Assessment
2. Client learns to build the daily habit of reading the Bible & seeking God with SGI’s Business Tool – “God’s Power Session Daily Journal”
3. Client learns to find their identity in Christ & gain clarity on God’s “Big Vision” for their life with SGI’s Business Tool – “Love & Like Yourself Journal”
4. We builds a strong business foundation based on your calling with SGI’s Business Tool – “SGI’s Business Foundation Worksheet”
5. We create an action plan with SGI’s Business Tool – “SGI’s Goal Setting & Strategic Plan Template”
6. We execute the plan with SGI’s Business Tool – “SGI’s Daily Tracker” & “EcoBoushie Daily Planner & Social Media Planner”
7. Client is educated on Building Financial Wealth with SGI’s Financial Services & healthy habits with “SGI’s Daily Tracker”
As a result, God uses SGI to impact women in a powerful way. Clients always say they are not the same person after completing the BossBabe4Christ Coaching Program. I love that what is instilled in clients during SGI’s BossBabe4Christ Business Coaching Program, stays with them for years after they have worked with SGI.
As a business owner, my goal is to create, empower & support “BossBabes4Christ”. A BossBabe4Christ is a woman who finds her identity in Christ, knows her calling, understands God’s “Big Vision” for her life & represents God with her words & actions. She loves & likes herself, makes herself a priority & thrives personally & professionally. She lets God lead every aspect of her life. Each woman is her own version of a BossBabe4Christ, but the core values of who each BossBabe4Christ is the same. When women become a BossBabe4Christ, they are kind, patience, loving & embody God’s wisdom. They serve their family & friends in a God-honoring way which makes life for everyone around them better. This is why I have also started the “Love & Like Yourself Movement”. I pray that women around the world are empowered to be a BossBabe4Christ.
Have you ever had to pivot?
My professional journey has been all about pivots. My first business was a franchise. When I vetted the business, I was told the sale cycle from start to finish was an average of 2 months. The reality, was actually 6 months to 2 years. I had to pivot & add another revenue stream to fill the gap. That’s when I got into financial services.
After placing a few clients in business ownership, I realized that our process did a good job of matching our clients with a business that aligned with their wants & needs, but we didn’t vet the individual to see if they had the mentality & grit to sustain the challenges of business ownership. This caused me to pivot and add business coaching as a service.
After years of business coaching, I realized that my business tools resonated more with my female clients, so I pivoted again. In 2018, I decided to specialize in business coaching for female business owners.
Now in 2025, I am pivoting again. This year I am scaling back on 1:1 coaching & expanding my business through new products & services, so I can free myself up from the day to day responsibilities. It’s time to level up in a whole new way!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Business ownership is all about resilience. My joke is that business owners are just “professional problem solvers”. Over the last 13+ years, I have questioned giving up on business ownership & going back to the corporate world, more times than I can count. But each time I prayed, & God said to keep going. Out of all my stories of resilience, my favorite one so far is my Love & Like Yourself Journal story.
The Love & Like Yourself Journal is one of my business tools. It’s truly my passion project. I’ve spent over 12+ years reading books, listening to sermons & doing the work to better myself. As a result, I found a system that worked for me & created a worksheet to share with my clients. My system also made a huge positive impact with my client, so I wanted more women to have access to it. This led me to turn my worksheet into a workbook and that how the Love & Like Yourself Journal was created.
My original plan was to launch the Love & Like Yourself Journal with a small workshop. So in 2021, I set up my first meeting with the head of Women’s ministry at one of the local churches. To my surprise, it ended up being a horrible experience. Instead of supporting me, she tried to tear my journal apart. She questioned & challenged me aggressively, as if she was trying to discredit my journal. I left the meeting feeling like someone had poured a cup of water on my fire for launching the Love & Like Yourself Journal. I knew I couldn’t let this one bad experience stop me from doing what God put on my heart, but the experience was definitely caused me to “pause” on launching the Love & Like Yourself Journal.
I ended up shelving the Love & Like Yourself Journal for two years. During that time, I gained wisdom & knowledge to make the Love & Like Yourself Journal even better. With a loving push from one of my best friends, I committed to launching the Love & Like Yourself Journal on Etsy in 2023 & sold my first 100 copies.
In 2024, I moved platforms to sell the Love & Like Yourself Journal on Amazon. In 2025, I got the Love & Like Yourself Journal on a worldwide distribution list, which makes the Love & Like Yourself Journal available to 212 retailers. I also have the Love & Like Yourself Journal in Logos Bookstore Hawaii which is the Christian Bookstore I grew up with. I also have so much more in store for the Love & Like Yourself Journal, including workshops!
In addition, I have also started a “Love & Like Yourself Movement” to inspire women around the world. When women find their identity in Christ & understand God’s “Big Vision” for their life, it makes a positive impact on their families, friends & their communities.
I’m thankful for the obstacle I initially encountered. It made the Love & Like Yourself Journal better & bigger than I could ever imagine. This is why you never give up & always trust God’s plan & timing.
