We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Adibi recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Tiffany thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
When I was fifteen, I was approached by a local fashion photographer to do makeup for a photoshoot. She was a mutual family friend who I had met a few times. Although I truly had no Idea what I was doing when it came to makeup on a model in this setting, I decided to give it a go. I sanitized all my personal stuff, packed it into a small carrier case, and showed up anxiously trying to fit the role I had just been given. I remember it like it was yesterday. I had been given some inspiration photos and handed a blank human canvas to paint. It was truly exhilarating to finish happy with what I had created and see the model and photographer admire my work as well. Watching them photograph all day and seeing my work as an added element to such a creative vision come to life was a feeling I will never forget.
I started doing makeup more often on family and friends any chance I had available to me. This led to me setting up in my family’s home and working long days of back-to-back clients in high school for winter formals, prom, etc.
Once I graduated high school, I joined a mobile beauty business team where I started working weddings. This is where my career really started to evolve, and I was propelled even further into my passion for working with brides. Fast forward through years of bridal makeup artistry alongside other jobs in the beauty industry, I eventually made my way back to focusing on primarily Bridal makeup artistry. Many years were spent building my clientele and providing quality services to help spread the word of Glamour by Taj. I work solely based on referral, so I think pateince and dedication were the biggest factors that got me to where I am today.
The journey has been a long ride, and definitely challenging, but my passion for making people feel their best has been and continues to be the main driving force.

Tiffany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We’ll start with my name. My name is Tiffany and my middle name is Taj. This was my grandmother’s name, and it means “crown” in Farsi. It is my job to help women feel like the goddesses that they are. This is why my business name shortly became Glamour by Taj.
I primarily service bridal parties/elopements in Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, and Southern CA. However, I am available for travel anywhere! Some of my favorite destinations for bridal makeup have been Mexico and Australia.
My makeup style is called Goddess Glam. This type of makeup is soft, romantic, and enhances your natural beauty, but still leaves you feeling like yourself. Every look is unique and customized for that particular client. I see that a lot of people are scared to get their makeup done due to a fear of not recognizing themselves, or they have had a bad experience in the past. These are my favorite clients to get, because I love being able to show them that getting your makeup done can enhance your natural beauty rather than covering it up.
On top of helping everyone feel their best and most beautiful, I am also here to bring the vibes for the bridal party while we are getting ready. I bring a different element to your big day, as I am an energy healer, so I am there to keep you calm and grounded throughout all of the craziness and stress that can be present on your big day.
My services are in the process of expanding to include the ultimate goddess package, which is for my spiritual brides. This is an all encompassing experience for those who are interested in more intention, energy work, sound healing and crystal healing on their wedding day.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission on this journey is to bring more intention to your wedding day, as well as focus on inner beauty. This is one of the most important days of your life and I believe intention and mindfulness can add so much positivity to a day that truly is over in the blink of an eye. I hope to do this by focusing more on combining healing services with my makeup services. When it comes to inner beauty, it has been fun working with my clients to help them recognize some of their beautiful qualities while we are focusing on outer beauty. I have my brides share wha they find to be their most beautiful quality with me, and this quote goes next to their wedding makeup when I post on socials. I am hoping to add a level of depth and authenticity to the beauty industry that I feel it is lacking.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth! I work solely by referral unless someone finds me on social media. I love to take the time when working with clients to make it more personal and really get to know each other. I also prioritize communication throughout the whole process so that we are sure to be on the same page. I feel like more times than most after a wedding I leave with a new friend. I am so grateful for every single one of my brides that has chosen me as their makeup artist. The best is when I get a referral, and then I get to glam a past bride, but now as a bridesmaid!
